How does Mean Streak beat Blue Streak in poll?

I don't know of many people who like Mean Streak better than Blue Streak. I like Mean Streak and have had some good times on it, but Blue Streak is a lot of fun. Nothing fancy but fun. Granted things would be better is they had the original lap bars and even the manual brake but the ride still is fun. It is was built the same year I was born!

Honestly, I like Mean Streak better than Blue Streak. I agree most people think like you though...

I like them both personally. The airtime on Blue Streak is great, and I like cutting through the structure on Mean Streak. This summer was the first time I had been to the park in a few years and for the first time I was disappointed with my ride on Mean Streak, the trims on the first drop really cut from the ride.

Id take Blue Streak over Mean Streak any day. Mean Streak has become to abusive to my back for me to even enjoy anymore.

I'm not that big on these polls.

I prefer Mean Streak. It is a tad rougher than most, but it is a long ride and a quality wooden coaster.

Blue Streak is a better ride IMO as well, but I know quite a few people who think the opposite.

I personally liked Mean Streak more because I rode with my father and we were both cracking up because when we tried to talk to each other the words came out all broken because of how rough it was. But if I hadn't had that experience, I probibly would prefer Blue Streak.

Ride in the 2nd last seat on MS. It's really not that bad. I like MS a lot, and make a point to ride it every time I go.

Blue Streak is one of my favorite rides at the point. Mean Streak is definatly one of my least. I as well do not understand how people like mean streak more either

I do like the Blue Streak a little better because the Mean Streak moves me around to much, and the Blue Streak is the Oldest Coaster in the Park. That is why the Blue Streak is the Best Wooden Coaster in the Park. I ride all of the Wooden Coasters but the Blue Streak is my Best!!!!

The answer to this question is simple:

The same reason that TTD ranks as high as it does, even though it's a piece of crap that never runs and does only one trick. For what it is, it's pretty tall and pretty fast.

Just because a ride is old doesn't mean it is the best. I think that Blue Streak is great but I dont think it is the best. It is just a classic. Think of it as a classic movie... Not all classic movies are good. Or oldies music. I enjoy the older rides but I by no means think that they are the best.

Meanstreak over Bluestreak for me.

I never found it nearly as rough as some make it sound.
(Maybe being bigger is a benefit for once!)

Riding Son of Beast, prior to the renovations, was a far rougher coaster. So maybe its a sliding scale depending what you've ridden.
