How busy are Haloween Saturdays?

I was thinking about an Oct 15th visit to CP and was opening some CP veterans could let me know what the crowds are typically like.

Thanks!!

Well, figure out the exact number of people that pass through the gates on Oct. 15 from last year. The average cost of fuel today will guarantee shorter lines. Therefore, I expect attendance for that day to be approx. 23, 490.

In plain english: I have no idea. ;)

It will be be pretty crowded.

Well all I know is the park is usually very crowded on the Saturdays during Halloweekends. Last year I remember 2 hour lines for Mean Streak and we rode very few things. I remember the one of the only Roller Coasters we rode was the Iron Dragon. I guess it was a good thing we were staying the weekend. Sundays are usually much better.

It depends on college football games. If both Ohio State and Michigan have games at home, the park won't be crowded. But if both are away, don't bother showing up.

I went on October 23rd last year and walked onto everything except Dragster, Millennium, Raptor, and Mantis. Raptor and Mantis were about half an hour abd Dragster and MF were about an hour. It was an awesome trip.

A lot of it depends on the weather, but not always. Some of the Saturdays are packed. The night we had a one way Fright Zone last year was absolutely insane.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you

If you think it's hard to predict crowds during the regular season, it's even more difficult to predict a HalloWeekend Saturday!

You can get 10 people to give you 10 opinions, but that's about it.

Columbus day weekend is very busy. Saturday is unreal. The Giant Wheel were I used to work did a "6-6" all day. It was rare during the "peak season" even to do this. Sundays are usually a lot less busy but the park is only open until 8. I think Columbus day weekend they are open later. If you are going mainly to ride rides Sunday would be your best bet.

whenever my family and i have gone it has never really been that bad i got to go on millennium force and ttd. but we also stay at breakers which helps. the line for the haunted houses can be pretty bad on saturdays, last year when i went the line was 2 hours for wherewolf canyon.

i wish i was at cedar point

I won't even consider going on a Saturday. Sure you may get lucky on the right weekend, but Friday and Sunday are the best. And now Fridays are open till midnight. Thank goodness!!

Went last time, everything was a Walk-on, except the usual suspects, MF and TTD. TTD was half hour, MF was 10-15 Minutes.

It seems to me that weather is a bigger influence in October than other times. There's always that one last Indian Summer weekend in October where it seems that everyone from Cleveland, Detroit, and Pittsburgh decides that it would be a great time to make "one last trip." On the other hand, those October weekends can have truly dismal weather. Our Halloweekends trip last year was bone-jarringly cold and drizzly for much of the weekend. Thank god our hotel had an indoor pool.

If you are flexible, I'd wait until you see a weekend without either great or horrible weather. It will still be busy, but hopefully not ridiculous.

Brian, you must have been there on the 23rd last year because I was there and it was absolutely wet and cold.
