How are the cottages at Lighthouse Point?

I was thinking of staying in a cottage at Lighthouse Point and I was wondering how the rooms are. I've stayed at the Breakers and I want to try something else.
I personally liked them alot. We stayed for 2 nights and the views are spectacular. Being able to see Mean Streaks first hill when you look out the window is awesome. The rooms themselves are quite nice and well furnished although they are a little cramped I thought. The only downfall of staying at the cottages is there is no restaurants back there and the walk to the park is quite a hike. If you drive over and park in the Soak City parking lot it is alot easier. All and all another great place to stay at Cedar Point. Oh and one more thing if you are looking for a good walk along the lake at night there is a walk way that starts at LHP and goes the whole way down the beach quite the views.

Didn't they book all the cottagets/cabins a while ago? If not I must be thinking of something different.

It's definitely a charming little community that I would recommend to everyone. Although I didn't stay in one personally when I made my week-long trip in June, I had the privelage of talking with a first time Pointer from the Phila area, and he was very satisfied to say the least. So pleased that he will be coming back and staying at the cottages again. If I had to choose between the loft cabins around the pond or the standards right on the western shore, I would take the the standards, as the sunsets are absolutely beautiful on that end of the peninsula.

Regarding the walk, it's not that bad--(Breathe for a minute...Enjoy the view; there's more than coasters at CP, especially when you're on vacation.) It's only a leisurely ten minute walk to the Bon Air Wing of Breakers. If I'm not mistaken, I also saw the Resorts shuttle making stops in the immediate village area, in addition to the stops it makes at Sand Castle Suites.

Stayed on the point and loved it. Was nice with the little ones as I did not worry about waking others and also did not worry about others waking them.
Yeah, I figured there were still openings in Lighthouse Point. I seen the resort several times from Mean Streak and I must say that I'm impressed.

I just finished an extended stay at the Lighthouse point and cant say enough about it. The rooms are nice, some privacy for the adults of a family with a seperate bedroom. Lovely views, we seen a huge freighter go right by our deck about 200yds offshore - just amazing. The pool, spa & water works has every thing for the family. The water works is a minature soak city type attraction for the little ones and the spa is nice sized for the adults. We had a family of 5 and felt comfortable in the size of the unit. When I go back to CP, this will be the only place I ever stay again. I have stayed in plenty of hotels around there including the Breakers and Breaker's Express and although they are nice, they just cant compare for complete relaxation and the "escape" nature of the LHP.....
