Hotels

I'm not too familiar with Sandusky so I was just wondering where I can get a decent hotel for a good price cause my budget coming all the way from Florida is too tight for making reservations to the Breakers this year. I'm just looking for a great deal close to the park. Thank you everyone for your time and all the help you gave me, this has been a great site.

3 Rollbacks- 2 back to back front row -dead serious- IT WAS THE SH*T!!!!!

It may be cheap, but its one of the dirtiest hotels I've ever been to. You guessed it, SOUTHSHORE INN!!!!

Isn't southshore the cockroach hotel?

No way, South Shore was one of the cleanest places I have stayed in Sandusky.

He has no clue what he's talking about (or he's purposely being stupid because South Shore happens to be a sponsor). It's a AAA three diamond hotel.

I highly suggest the hampton inn in sandusky or milan. You
will not be disappointed. Have a greaat time.

I must have had a bad hotel room then because when I was there, we performed a test. My friend put on a clean, white pair of socks, then scuffed along the carpet from room to room. After about 30 sec. of this, the bottom of his socks were nearly black with dirt, among other things. AND, half the outlets didn't work and the jacuzzi didn't work.

If you dont mind a drive in the morning the Super 8 right off the turnpike is quite clean and very reasonably priced. Last time I remember it was like 70 in the peak of the season.

I would go to Hotwire.com and look for at least a 2-star hotel in the area. I got a 4-star stay at the Omni (CNN's building) in Atlanta for $50 a night.

You can break the 50 dollar barrier on Hotwire near CP with no problem and stay at a Comfort Inn.

I cannot recommend Breakers Express highly enough. It is not more expensive, truly, than most other hotels in the area. They offer great packages, and the biggest plusses of all are the early entrance to the park, and the availability of park tickets to guests at the bargain price of 31.00 each. The pool and water area is decent, and it's close to McDonald, Pizza and CP itself.

As I have said many times, it's a clean, convenient cube with a shower. Close in the morning, and blessedly close after a loooong day at the park. The employees there have always been very nice, and seem to have a great attitude, also.

Please forgive me here, but LIGHTHOUSE POINT and the grills they have (along with a little planning from you) end up being cheaper. Avoid camp/hotel food and stay in a better enviroment.

Sorry, but I just wore myself out.
