OK next week I'm going to CP with my aunt on Tuesday. The next day I'm going with my church. Instead of going home with my aunt my mom said I could spend the night and meet with my church later the next day...
I need your comments on what would be the best hotel for just one person and one night. It needs to be a CP hotel though because I want my ERT ;) And I want to be able to walk to the park..
Any suggestions on what would be the best? It doesnt need to be fancy.
Thanks

Cedar Point policy is that under 18 must be accompanied by an adult during the length of your stay in any of the hotel properties.

If you don't say anything and your aunt checks you in, you should be ok to stay on point. Just do the express check out in the morning.
Thats what I was going to do. (express checkout) Atleast one person has a little good news. ;)

If you didn't make reservations yet, you might be too late, well if you are looking for a cheap room anyway. But yeah your aunt can check you in and you're all good.

I have done it. My friend came up for the day and we put the room in his name. I gave him the cash and he checked in. I waited outside the hotel. Once he got the room key we went into the park and nobody ever asked a thing.

Did you also line-jump while smoking that day?
Why is it the policies are only ok as long as they don't inconvenience "me"? And as soon as they do, they become breakable?

Good one. No it was the weekend of my birthday and i was wanting to stay there. Technically i was of the proper age when i left. Its kinda like going to the bar before midnight of your 21st birthday. You are not 21 but you will be in about 20 min.

In all fairness, that's not even a remotely valid comparison.
Smoking and line-jumping directly impact others' days negatively.
Someone underage staying in a hotel does not, so long as they're not causing trouble. And if they were to cause trouble, there are policies in place to handle that.
True, but they are still policies. And I don't see a ranking system from the park saying which ones are breakable and which are not.

Quite some time back it use to be the policy (written or not) to take the names and phone numbers of each guest stying in the room (assuming they were under 21/18) and call each person's "parent/guardian" to make sure they knew their kids were at the resort and to make sure they had their permission to stay the night.
Many times that threat right there caused young folks to leave and find a different hotel in town.

Mom is making reservations tommorow. Hope there are some rooms left.
And to the people thinking I'm gonna cause trouble; I wont. I love CP, and wouldn't do anything to their property or anything like that... Shoot, I would make the beds if they asked me too. ;)
