Hotel Breakers Snoopy Room

Hi Everybody!

My family will be staying the night at Cedar Point for our FIRST TIME (we live 1.5 hours away fromt he park)! We're pretty much set on Hotel Breakers, but my mother is really afraid of heights. We can put in a request for a low floor, and it may, or may not, be honored. OR we could reserve a "family room" which is on floor 2 of the Tower.

My question is, is this "family room" with Snoopy Decor going to ruin our experience? I mean, my parents are over 60 and I'm 17, so....... Just wanted to know if anyone had stayed in/viewed the Snoopy rooms.

The Snoopy rooms are cute. I don't think it would ruin your experience. I'm 22 and I love them! The rooms are just more colorful and have Snoopy lamps and pictures in them instead of the hotel lamps and pictures. The bedspread is brightly colored, but it's not gawdy. Another option to make sure you get on the first floor is to reserve a poolside suite (HNSPS). I don't know if your parents want to pay for a suite or if there are any available, but that's always an option.

We considered doing a suite on the first floor, but we simply couldn't justify all that extra money for a suite for one night.

What I did this morning was called Central Reservations and made a reservation for a regular room. The reservation agent made a note on our reservationt that we would like a room as close to the ground floor as possible.

She also told us that if we got there and we were too high up, we could "upgrade" do the Snoopy room if there were still availabilities. We'll hope for the best.

I kinda thought I would actually like the snoopy room until she said that the hallways are filled with peanuts characters on the walls and that the room was decorated in bright primary colors. The way she described it, it sounded kinda gaudy. We're paying $170 for a room that could be anywhere in East or Tower, and the Snoopy room was just $185 for second floor Tower (an excellent location, from what I gather) AND it's lakeview!

No one happens to have any pictures do they?

Get a room 5-10 minutes away, and pay half the price!

Hotel Breakers has a very very old section...and it sounds like you might not be going in the new section, so think of it from a historical perspective. The room will not be brand spankin' new, and smell of fresh paint if you know what I mean. However, if that's what you are looking for...sounds like it's right up your alley! Good luck!

Actually, our room will be in the Breakers East or Breakers Tower sections of the hotel.

I'm quite familiar with the Cedar Point website and the photo galleries contained within. I was really asking for some pictures of the Family/Snoopy room, which I cannot find anywhere on the net.

I COULD get a room 10 mins away for about a third of the price, but if I'm going to do that, I might as well drive back home. I'm a season passholder, so I go to the park often. I'm staying at the Breakers for a special "treat", so I just wanted to make the most of it.

The Snoopy rooms have fixed windows (they don't open) and no balcony/patio. This is for safety reasons for children.
Staying 10 minutes away at a hotel constitutes driving 1 1/2 hours back home? Trust me... staying at the hotel down the road is just as good! I've done it a few times and I live an hour away...it's a treat in itself. There is a hotel down the road kinda behind the mall that is beautiful...price isn't too bad either. I wouldn't mind staying there again!!! I forget the name of it though.

By the way...sorry, I was just trying to help!!!!!
