I was wondering since there are no longer lasers used in the show any more if the rides are still shut down like they used to be when the lasers where in use?
I believe the rides that are affected are the CP & LE Railroad, Space Spiral, Iron Dragon and Wildcat. And I believe that those rides go down at around 9 PM.
There was a sign last year on the Bumper Cars that said it shuts down for summer lights.

Obviously it's a way to gather the masses in one place and then guide them towards the gates once it's over.
The rides around the immediate viewing area for the show close early. Space Spiral and Giant Wheel no longer close since there are no longer lasers bouncing off of them.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
The rides that close for the light so are: Iron dragon, Wildcat, the train, and dodgem(bumper cars). The reason is because of fireworks. The train because of the firework that are located at the top of the screen. The fireworks blow towards the train station. The wildcat because the fireworks actually come from inside the middle of the ride. Iron Dragon because the fireworks come the black box that is located off to the right of the platform beside our safety breaks. And Dodgem because of the lights make it to bright near the control booth for the light show (where a lot of people like to watch from).

I have been informed by one of my contacts on the CP&LE that for the 10:00 PM show the last train in is at 9:40 PM.
Yes, the last train leaves at 9:20-9:25 ish. It will then leave Frontier Town by 9:30-9:35 ish arriving back at Main no later then 9:45.
From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~
