Hot Country Nites!!!!!!

As Jeff and Red Garter Rob mentioned in the Trip Report Section, the Country Show this past week end was incredible. Unlike Jeff & Rob we LIKE Country Music...(why do I feel like I am standing at some rehab meeting saying that?..."Hi I'm OTT and I like Country Music)
Anyhow...we saw the country show approx. 25 times this summer. If you didn't see it too bad. This show and cast has to rank as one of the top 5 shows produced by CP EVER...Yes it really was that incredible.
In addition, Todd, the fiddle player, also has to rank as one of the most talented performers CP has ever landed.
This past weekend with the "halloween" music mixed in the show just seemed to "click". Hearing "The Monster Mash" done "country style" was unbelievable.
If you are looking for a "cold one" and a seat to rest between coaster rides, check out one of CP's Live Shows, I am sure you won't be disappointed.
I have to agree. We say this show Saturday Night, and it was outstanding! The fiddle player is a major talent. The "Monster Mash" was really good, and their rendition of "Dueling Banjos" and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" were fantastic.

Not counting Splash it was the only show I saw this summer, I saw it closing day with Pete and Jeff, and all I have to say is WOW! I must make a point to see more shows in the future. I wish I knew about it earlier in the year!

Dan I am glad that you are thinking about seeing more shows.... I enjoy them.... a lot of people do not know what they are missing in seeing the shows especially if you go to the park more than one time!

Todd was a find.. That's for sure. He's moving onto a symphony job in PA. The funny part is, he's not a real big country fan, he's classicaly trained but enjoyed the show more than anything.

I'll be passing this thread onto him as he loves to entertain and is probably one of the most modest people I've met. I asked if he was gonan come back next year, he's not sure. Alot of the band is going onto cruise ships or acting or pursuing a singing carrer (I dare ANYONE to tell me Ben doesn't have one of the best country voices you're ever heard).

For any of you who were there this weekend and didn't say "hi" to me.. I was the tall guy down near the kitchen entrance.

Hot Country Hoochies, I mean Nights, was a good show even for the non-country fan, and this coming from someone who finds the genre about as appealing as hot coals down your pants with a suit of armor on top. I was floored by the talent; they'll be a very tough act to follow, no question about it. One of the best shows I've seen anywhere north of Orlando.

The Eighties show was about as good, and I was sad to see it go. The America show at Lil's was kind of weak, but I'm not a big fan of shows with canned music, I prefer a live band. Never did get around to Centennial this year.

Red Garter is a cool place to hang because regardless of the show, it has two of summer's greatest treats: Air conditioning and beer (and girlie drinks cough-Dan-cough).
