While the park will not change overnight, I can confidentially say, based on feedback I have gotten from guests and fellow employees, along with my own opinions, that we are becoming the BEST RUN PARK in the Cedar Fair chain. (Let the flaming begin!)
Sam, with some of the changes that have been happening at Cedar Point, there is no reason to disagree or flame you for that opinion at all.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
It is amazing what strong leadership (or a lack thereof) can do to a park...or any business for that matter. It is no surprise to me that, under Bill Spehn, things are improving.
I just hope he empowers people below him to bring standards up and then holds those accountable who do not.

About the ProSlide Tornadoes and the conveyor.
A week ago, I was at Michigan's Adventure and I rode FoF three times. It's an amazing ride, but the wait was simply too long for the 10 second'ish long ride. The tubes were a big hassle to carry up (however, I did find the little "ProSlide CLOVERleaf Tubing" and the wheel one interesting).
The only problem I see with the conveyor is that it can be misleading. When the FoF queue is completely full, it's really not that long simply because the tubes take up so much space. At GL, the line may actually be longer because people are so packed on the stairs.

After visiting the park yesterday, I can definately see the improvements that have been mentioned here. I went once last year, and the place was dead. Not even one full row of cars in the parking lot. This year, the parking lot was at least half full (and that's not counting the lot by the water park) and the park seemed pretty busy. The waterpark definately seemed to be the highlight of the park, as it was very busy all day. The ride side of the park was busy, but the only ride that had a line was X-Flight. I'll try to do a trip report in the next few days and go into more detail, but overall, I found the park to be very enjoyable.
