Just a friendly suggestion to Jeff...don't get offended or anything. You might reconsider changing your headline to reflect the "true" facts. As it reads now...
It's here! Cedar Point announces Top Thrill Dragster, the tallest, fastest roller coaster on the planet! Climb 420 feet and "ascend to speeds of 120 mph". Get the info, then discuss the new ride in CP Place.
Actually you are being shot up 420' from 120 mph. Just thought I would point that out since everyone else on here makes it a point to correct other people. But anyways, a good site.

Actually your starting speed is not 120 mph, it is 0. When something ascends it goes or moves upward. Since you are moving upward in speed, ascend is okay to use.

Ascend is used to describe objects rising in height. Accelerate would be more correct.
