I almost freaked out when I saw this page:

Scroll down to the Cedar Point Cinema...I was trying to figure out why it looked so baren...then I realized that the huge trees that shade that area today are those little saplings...pretty freaky.

Yeah, looking at some of those photos makes me kind of sad that I never got to ride some of them...especially Mill Race and Shoot the Rapids.

Makes me sad that I can't anymore. I see S-T-R and think of my Grandpa when he was still my dads age, and how he thought he had it figured out how not to get wet, the problem was we had it figured out how to get him wet, I guess it was an early lesson on load distribution.

A lot of stuff has changed since kneemeister first took me to Cedar Point when I was what, 8?

front car 24/7.
I don't think anyone on the inside was unhappy to see it go.
Working, (yes I worked the Rapids) the ride had MAJOR benifits, least of which you were part of the largest all guys crew in the park, so can you guess which crew all the girls crews wanted to invite to thier parties;)
Everytime I ride WWL, I have a tear in my eye for STR. Just to show the size difference between WWL and STR: When you ride WWL again, the two SMALL pumps you pass as you enter the "cave" are the two MAIN pumps from STR.
