why the heck did wwl leave it isnt even close to that area?????

Do the numbers 2007 do anything for you? WWL and Skyhawk aren't related. Just part of a refurbished Frontier Town.

They said WWL would be totally gone pretty quickly, at least the people I talked to yesterday said that.

I wondered about that too at first. However, if they are going to build a new coaster, they are going to start building it before the end of the season (TTD, MF, etc.) They are propably getting something in 2007.

At first I was thrown off too...actually when I first read the press release I thought that Skyhawk would be in WWL's footprint, and then I read the forums to find where it was really going.

Isn't it obvious, though, why they took WWL down a year before anything goes in that spot? To keep internet speculation going strong!

Actually, its for the new bathrooms. CP has really wanted to break the world record of most bathrooms per square foot in an amusement park. Now they have their chance!

I think that everyone needs to simply calm down. I go to Cedar Point every season and am never dissappointed. I take my ten year old niece who loves to ride, but doesn't have the nerve to ride Raptor or TTD, so it makes me happy to see that there is a ride that is more appropriate for her than a record breaking coaster. I love coasters too, but I think that this is the "family ride" and flat ride that everyone has wanted, that gives me an opportunity to enjoy CP with my family. Of course we'd like to see a new coaster, but why throw in a new wooden coaster in the WWL space when the space could be used for something really awesome in 2007???

A new wooden coaster wouldn't be awsome?

I am just speculating here... I dont know if this has been discussed, but building skyhawk is definately a distraction from whatever is going on in wwl's place. The only webcam on the cp site is on the skyhawk site, and it is pointing away from the wwl site... convenient.

Two things. One, T&T said they will be putting up another webcam soon. Second thing, a bit unrelated. Does anyone find the leaves on the right side of the Skyhawk cam a bit annoying since they cover up some construction?

Just wait a couple of days and they'll either fall off or move due to wind.....:)

I definitely think that something good will be going in WWL's place, but exactly what it will be is obviously a mystery. Coaster? Maybe…..Something else? Possibly.....Let's just hope that DK does indeed want to go out with a bang!:)

Ohhh yes.... leaves do, infact, fall off. Good point TTD 120, I never thought of that lol.

That was Funny! Maybe we'll get an award like in RCT for having best restroom facilties the next year...lol.
