Hi, my name is Kirk Sadler and i am from England...

I am on vacation over in Florida in July and August and i am looking into flying up to CLEVELAND HOPKINS AIRPORT, but the only problem is i don't drive!

Would you tell me how i can get from the airport above to cedar point using public transport?

Thanks in advanced for all your help...

Kind Regards Kirk

You can't really do it through public transportation. However, there other options. One would be to have a limo or towncar from Sandusky pick you up. They run about $60 one way from the airport to Sandusky.

Welcome to the United States, where public transportation is nearly nonexistent.. :(

Actually, you could do the trip via Amtrak for around $20 round trip, but you would have to get to downtown cleveland from the airport, and there is only one train, and it leaves Cleveland at 1AM, and returns from Sandusky at 3AM. It is part of the overnight train between Chicago and New York.

Well you got another option. Get a driver license and rent a car
I would think the limo would be the best bet. Unless someone on this forum lives in the Cleveland area and wants a good excuse to go to CP.

Well you must be one lucky guy, this will be my first post at gttp. I just checked probably one of the most reliable publice transportation systems in America, and it seems that there is a bus that goes from Cleveland to Sandusky. Just go to the greyhound web site, to order tickets

The only problem is that you might have to rent a taxi to get to the greyhound station. Have fun at CP!

I was just about to suggest the same thingas Eric. A helpful Hint... Never fall asleep on the greyhound.

I fool so feelish...

One, i have slept on the Greyhound several times and have had no problems.

Two, there is a train that runs from the Cleveland International Airport to downtown Cleveland. From the public square it is a short walk to the Greyhound Bus station.

But the easiest way to get around in the States is the car. :(

The bus and train are options, but neither have convenient schedules, and you still have to get to and from the station. The town car will pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel on your schedule. I'd have to think the little extra for that would be money well spent.

Is there any way of finding out how much Towncar or a Limo would cost each way from the airport to CP??? And how i could book one!!!
Here is a list of possibilities for you.
Its actually quite simple.

You are flying into Cleveland. So instead of producing a migraine trying to get to Sandusky, just take the "hop-skip-and-a-jump" journey to SFWoA.

""Ducks for cover"" :)

Seriously though, both parks are worth a visit. Take it from an outsider who does'nt play favorites.

Just to let you know if you decied against the Limo/Town Car idea, Amtrak is about $11. And Greyhound is around $14.

The travel time from Hopkins to Cedar Point is about the same as the travel time from Hopkins to SFWoA. It's about 45 minutes in each direction.
