Hello

Ok folks, I am new to this site but a big fan of the Point, Living in Utah I am probaly about as far away as you can get from the rollercoast but i love it just the same. I am planning a trip there for the 5th thru the 8th of july, bad time to go but its the only time i could get off work, I am wonder what tips you guys have to offer on how to best enjoy my trip, we will be spending the 6th and 7th in the park and are wondring what the best time to ride MF is also, is soak city worth a look, any input would be apreciated!
The best time to ride MF is around 6 but if you get in line at 7 you can get back to back riding in the dark.Soak city is awsome the day after coasting.

You may be in for a nice surprise Nick. July 5th is a great day to go if July 4th is during the week. Many people can't get out of work on July 5 or are hung over from the 4th. I always hit PKI or CP on the 5th for the light crowds.

Thanks for the input guys, love the advice from you profesionals on this site. I will actually be in the Park the 6th and 7th so hopefully it wont be two bad, and with two whole days there im sure we will have enough time to enjoy everything we want!
I was just curious as to what part of Utah. I am from Livonia MI originally but I am in Utah finishing up my degree. It kind of stinks because I thought I was going to get a job at the Cleveland Clinic which means CP season pass, but that fell through so now I am stuck looking else where.
Soak City is a great way to relax after the Point. We did the Point the first day, SC the 2nd, and CP again on the 3rd day. Twas an AWESOME trip!! :) PS: The swim up bar at SC is VERY cool!! :0
Once again thanks for the advice guess we will definetly check Soak City out to start the second day, And for the person who asked I am in basically Murray, UT. What about you? I will admit it does suck to be a theme park fan in utah, i mean Lagoon cmon get real. Oh well guess that makes CP all the better!
If you are only going two days, and are a roller coaster fan, I'd probably say go Cedar Point both days. I like Soak City as much as anyone (I went there 25-30 times last year), but it's the amusement park that makes CP famous, and oh so crowded will it be that time of year.

Well after the advice you guys have given, I think our plan is going to be CP first day, Soak City begining of the second and then back to CP, once again thanks for everyones input.
Make sure to remind us when you're going to be there.. I should be there one of the 2 days you're there and so will others I'm sure. Never miss a chance to meet GTTP'ers when there.. THe inside stories just seem to happen naturally...

MF 2000 - 269 laps
MF 2001 - 73 laps as of (6/9/01)
June 11th, 2001 - Gemini 100
Well despite my newness to this site, i will be sure to let you know when I will be there, I would love to get the chance to meet some of you. I dont get the chance to discuss CP that often since no one in Utah has any idea what it is.
