Helexes??

Why do so many people like helexes? I just don't under stand it, my home park of sixflags darien lake has superman ride of steel with two helexes in it and it just seems to me of alot of wasted track, even though it is a great ride. jwhoogs
If they are well-designed, they can be really intense. For example, Raptor's helix in the back row.

Yes,... Generally tighter helixes are better. Those which are huge don't do much. As for a helex, that sounds intense.

Helix or helices...
About S:ROS at SFDL: I don't think I'd point to the helices as wasted track. Take a look at the track after the first helix!

I personally don't really like Helices...they push you into your seat a little too hard

Welcome to New York City

I love helices, they are so much fun. Nothing like being pinned to your seat at high speeds

My dictionary has both helixes and helices as the plural form. I love the English language.
I really like the helixes on the Wildcat are intense. I wish the Gemini had a double helix on the end. They are not a waste of track....

Get with it or die in the process.....

The helix at the end of Raptor is one of my favorite parts of the ride. Like Magnum2G3 said, there's really nothing like being pinned to your seat.

Helixes are awsome! I love helixes on stand-ups. The G's are intense. (they're huge on the georgia scorcher, if anyone's ridden that)
