Heights

If the new coaster is really 400+ feet, I have to say I am extremely thrilled. Over the past couple of summers, the heights of rides have no fear effect on me. When i first started going to Cedar Point it took me three trips before i went on big bad Raptor and Magnum was a definite no. Now Millenium Force just does not cut it heightwise. The ride is great but there is no fear of going up 310 feet. The only ride I somewhat fear is Power Tower down but even that is not too bad anymore. I hate that I got like that but now i just have fun on the rides. I seriously do not think any coaster would scare me anymore. Anyone else feel the same?
God forbid you should just have fun on the rides. :-)
Heights still bother me. I love MF, but the lift is so quick I hardly notice how high I am until we fall over the edge.

If this coaster is really 400+ feet, guaranteed my first ride will have me shaking.

Really? I still get nervous for most hypercoasters that I have never been on, except for Goliath. That ride just didn't cut it for me, and frankly I think it was probably the worst hyper I have been on.

I hope you don't mind speed.

I agree, I wish I was alot more scared of the heights. If you want to have fun on millenium sit on the left hand side (walkway is on the right) and lean out as far as you can. You will find yourself very high with nothing below. Try this at night and you can see the rays of light coming up from below. You can also get the same effect by sitting in the back and turning around. Also try looking strait up as you crest the hill.

Coasters? i thought those were those things you put under drinks? ...am I on the wrong site?

I agree. Any fear you might have for a ride fades after you ride it enough times. Anybody out there been on Big Shot, the S & S thrill ride on top of the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas? I didn't know what fear was until I climbed aboard that thing! I honestly questioned my sanity as the harness came down. If you don't think you're scared of heights, I recommend it to test your theory!

Regardless of the fact that I don't shake and get freaked out by MF anymore, the drop is still the essence of scary. It's so powerful and the fact that you can't see the bottom just makes it great. I wouldn't say I'm "afraid" of it, but it's got a very nice feeling about it especially in the back seat with that pullover. Anyone get what I mean?
