Height with and without shoes

My daughter is just over 47" in bare feet, and just over 48" with a standard sneaker. How will she be measured at the park this year?

Get her Officially measured at park ops and get a wristband so you don't have any issues getting on a ride!

Is it the height in shoes that counts? The website is a bit ambiguous. Of course I want her to be safe, but I don't think that a half inch (or less by the time we go) is going to make a difference.

Most measurements are taken with shoes on, unless they suspect you have stuffed tissues in them or they have unusually thick soles. I believe a couple of the waterslides in Soak City require the measurement be done without shoes.

As long as they are standard soles of the shoes and not heelies then you should be fine. Like the others have said take her to Park Op to be measured. They may have her take off a shoe to check to see if they have been stuffed, if they haven't you'll get a wrist band and she'll be good to go all day.

Well, with a completely flat-heeled sandal she is JUST under 48", but with regular sneakers (like the ones you would wear in gym class) she is fine.

Then don't let her wear sandals to the park and make sure she wears shoes. Also, get her checked first thing in the morning. Believe it or not people shrink throughout the day and that little bit that she shrinks could mean the difference between getting the wrist band or not.
