Heading to CP from Iowa.......Gas $

Just curious where are the best places to get some gas on or nearby Interstate 80? The price in my home town was $2.86.........10 miles up the road it is $3.29.....I would prefer to pay the lower of the 2

I'd buy some 5 gallon cans and fill those up before you leave. Gas just jumped to 3.39 here in michigan. ohio is usually only about 5-10 cents less.

Yeah, gas gets more expensive the further east you go. I drove to CP from Omaha, NE and spent quite a bit of money in gas. If I did it now I would probably be looking at close to 300-400 dollars round trip in gas at about 50-55 dollars to fill if close to empty. That is why unfortunately I won't be driving to CP anytime soon.

Danimal, when are you leaving to CP? And where are you from? I'm from Des Moines and am heading up August 6/7.

Just got home from CP........Gas in Sandusky is cheaper than my hometown...

Weve found that the cheapest gas anywhere near I80 is at the I280 exit.There are billboards which you can see from the interstate which are advertising the prices.This is near Toledo and about an hour before you get to Sandusky.Good luck.

Right here in Atlantic County NJ we have very low, if not the lowest gas prices in the US. I really don't know why. I was riding down the road and I saw a sign for 2.65.
