Yes, some times I do get off my first ride of the day, Magnum (We start in the back and go to the front, even if we don't get there till 4 PM) with my head throbbing and my brains feeling like scrambled eggs. But, other times, the pain is non-existent. Same with the leg pain [that is sometimes]caused by the bunny hops.On a side note, I agree with bholcomb in saying chillout about the starting of topics...you've been a member for two days and you have more posts than I have...and I'm a one year member, plus about 2 years of just reading without a username. But, it's not that big of a deal, so don't worry...we'll still accept you as a CP fanatic.
Last public train of 2005 on MF!
I used to get headaches on most roller coasters, esp. Mean Streak! I actually took Exedrin before riding for a while, then I stopped riding altogether until about 3 years ago. I found that tightening my stomach while riding actually took pressure off my head and neck region! Now I ride with no problem.
I used to get headaches and a stiff neck. (I called it "Coaster Neck") Then I found out that if you just completely relax your body as the train goes over the first hill, you have much less trouble. Plus, when your body is so relaxed, it is like you are floating on air on the way down the big hill. Very cool sensation.
Nothing will prevent the bruises and sore spots from the bunny hills, except experimentation with the lap belts and safety bars to find what works for you. Magnum is a relentless coaster. From the first drop to the last stop it is nothing but full-tilt-boogie.
