Have you rode an Impulse? Question!

I myself have never been on an Intamin impulse before, and I'm really excited about Wicked Twister... but I've a question for you if you've been on one of these bad boys before.

Just from looking at the sketches, and the renderings of the track, it seems that the twist(s) starts out rather abruptly.  From the looks of it, it looks like you're heading straight up, and then the train suddenly snaps into it's twisting motion.  Is it such when you're actually riding it, or does it happen more gradually that it appears?  I'm just thinking down the line when this thing gets some age to it, will that snap into the twist start to be rough and uncomfortable...

I have never rode an Impulse before I went to a park that had one but it was broken down all day(hint: this park first name begins with S and second with an F)so as you said what is it liking riding one of these bad boys?

It happens rather quick, but the transition is so smooth there is no headbaning/roughness whatsoever.

May favorite part of S:UE is the turn into the back spike while sitting in the back seat, incredibly intense. I can't wait to see what it's like in the back seat of WT. :)

In riding the one at Six Flags waste of an afternoon, I found the ride to be very smooth and my fav in the park! The snapping you referred to is not present to me anyways as of now and the twists were very fun and not hard on the body at all. SInce no Impulse has been around for that many years its obviously hard to say what the rides character will become down the road..Sit tight and enjoy WT...

Hey... the topic could have been just "Question" like the million others we get around here.

I still don't think its a coaster as along with Superman at SFMM. For a regular ride S:UE was alright. But to short. I prefer a journey that a complete circuit offers. S:ue was smooth as stated earlier but after a while I thought it was pretty boring! But hopefully WT will add some new twists to keep me interested. Although in a business sense I think WT was a smart move!

Jesus is salvation!!

I have ridden S:UE.  It is also my favorite ride at SF:WoA.  The ride is smooth and exciting.  As soon as you launch its pure adrenaline for the rest of the ride.  Get ready for a totally new experience in the back seat of Wicked Twister.
