I have two general admission passes that were gifts to me. They were given to me last (2009) as a gift. We wanted to use them when we got them but due to circumstances that were not in my control we did not get to. They say on the bottom of them valid during current season only. My question is this, they are "gift" card style cards. My daughter is now feeling up to wanting to go to cedar point, I want to take her, she has never forgot we got these passes last summer. Am I going to be able to use them to go in this season? I have checked consumer guidelines in the state of Ohio and because they are tickets I am afraid that they don't fall into the same category as a standard gift certificate. so are they now expired and I am just out of luck?! She lost her father, her grandfather and her dog all last summer and going to cedar point was not in our budget nor was it something that we wanted to do quite honestly. Anyone have any suggestions? The person that gave them to us has the original receipt from purchasing them, the cost was 38.99 for each ticket, they were purchased on 7/2/2009. I am just wanting to be able to take her but I definitely can't afford to drive there then be turned away at the door because they won't honor them. I also am trying to not let her down in taking her... Thanks for any help anyone might have.
You should definitely call the park as they would be more helpful than anyone here. Likely they're expired and you're out of luck, but call them to be sure.
