Haunted House Special Events Throughout the Regular Season?

If you asked me, opening Blood on the Bayou one day in the summer would actually make sense. I mean, weekends at Cedar Point can be at times oppressively hot and humid so that sort of environment would fit Blood on the Bayou perfectly even if it were just one day in June or July.

A good chunk of lifeguards are the ones who are staffed for Haunt attractions and are screamsters. Not sure how easy it would be to staff a "Haunt" in the months of June or July when they're staffed at soak city. Even if it is just for a day.

Nothing calls out fun to me like an oppressively hot, humid, mosquito infested walk through of Blood on the Bayou in July.

Hey kids! Who wants to get out of that soak city uniform and into 30lbs of musty, stinky Halloween costume and heavy pancake makeup with a nasty wig/headdress for a fun filled 98 degree day of chasing/ scaring people while avoiding skin sucking insects eating at your sweat streaked flesh?

Also- you will be expected to return to your regularly schedule duty station tomorrow morning on time or face disciplinary actions.

P.S. Happy July-O-Ween

While I love that other haunts are getting into doing special one-off events during the off season, there are big differences between CP and your typical mom and pop Haunt. The haunts are not CP's bread and butter, at least, not during the regular operating season. Contrary to an earlier post that was made here, a majority those involved with Screamsters, outside of supervision/management, do not work at the park all summer, so the logistics alone of bringing people in for special events would be difficult.

Not to mention, I've actually done work inside of Zombie High and Infirmary on 90 degree days in August. Even without a hot, heavy costume on, it is most definitely not a great time. Eerie Estates is the only haunt at the park with AC.
