No, but in the past they have let you put them down your shirt. Some rides also received new "bins" for loose articles.

It also depends on the ride operator. I've seen ride ops ask people to remove their hats on smaller rides (ie: Cedar Creek Mine Ride).

If I'm not wearing my hat it is always strapped around a belt loop. I don't trust myself sitting on it. I almost lost it that way on a ride, though I forget which one.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I'm a hat person (I where my Dragster hat everyday:)) and I always put it right under my thigh when riding Dragster and Millennium. It fits comfortably and it won’t go anywhere, guaranteed!
I think it's uncomfortable and/or annoying to have a hat bouncing around in your shirt.

I once caught a hat that flew off someone ahead of me (it was the Blue Streak).
On a kind of similar note i just have to ask. Why do they require people to take off percription glasses on rides like Twister, PT and TDD? I've ridden hundreds of rides all over and not once have i been close to loosing mine on any ride... even when they were broken and not fitting properly on my face. It's not like i rode other similar rides with my glasses at other parks. This is just an example of those things that people complain about with CP going too far with some rules.
So far I have not had a problem using a neck cord on my glasses, which is a Good Thing, as an elastic band would actually make them more likely to come off (!).
Eyeglasses restrictions come about because of conventional thinking by people who haven't the slightest clue about how properly fitted eyeglasses are supposed to work. When glasses are properly fitted, they are held in tension between the nose pads (or bridge piece) and the ear pieces on the ends of the temples. The nose pads pull the frame forward, which locks the ear pieces tight against the back of the ear. Nothing the ride can do is going to break them loose.
A tight strap between the ear pieces, though, pulls the temples back and breaks the tension, pulling the frame back uncomfortably against the nose, and (worst of all) unwrapping the ear pieces just enough that the darned things can be ripped loose. Croakies-type cords, with the tube that fits over the ear pieces, have a similar problem, in that they interfere with the function of the ear pieces.
The problem is that while those of us who have prescription glasses and who go through the effort of having them properly adjusted so that they cannot accidentally come off have to suffer for the indescretions of sunglass-wearers whose spectacles do not fit properly and fly off during the ride.

ttdboy111,
A great question. :) I always wear a hat to CP...partially due to the growing balding area located at the north pole of my head staying out of the sun. Ha.
Here's what I do...I wear cargo-shorts...the ones with the big pockets on the sides? Before getting on the ride I just stuff my hat into a pocket. Ive never had that questioned in countless rides on everything from TTD to MF.

No. You have to have proof.
