Has any ride beside Maverick ever missed opening day due to technical problems, bad winter forcing construction to slow down, or any other reason?

GateKeeper was the first to open on time since before maverick. Someone else, how long ago was it that something opened on time, SkyHawk?
Gemini was weeks late in opening due to the Blizzard of '78. I have photos somewhere of it only half built and the park was already open for the season.
These were probably taken around Memorial day of 1978

Windseeker, Shoot The Rapids, Maverick, and Dragster all missed opening with the park in recent years.

Dragster made it's opening day, however had massive down time but did technically operate that opening weekend. Not all seats could be filled, but still had the tires/engine on each train giving it a nice theme.
Dragster opened with every train missing one car. But it did indeed run for its scheduled opening day.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
It wasn't until June when Skyscraper finally opened during its first year.
Of course, how could I forget that one? Not like I wasn't one of the first dozen test riders or anything... :)

Chaos didn't open until late June or July the year it opened.

Getting a ride open for the first day is one thing. You have the manufacturer, installation contractors, and park maintenance all working to please the media and riders with first day bragging rights.
It's the rides that miss a chunk of the entire season (and aren't that old) that are the real disappointment.
The original Shoot The Rapids was also way late.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

And TTD 120 has been a car short of a full train ever since. ;)
