Yeah I guess you can say I got lucky, well first off Maverick had been down the day before, and then that day it wasn't running for ERT. So we were heading to MF for that's morning ERT, out of the SC gate we turned left, and while walking up to TTD we say trains launching with people in them, then we saw the line was open, so we joined it. This was right at at 9am or 9:02am, we ended up waiting 15 mins for the front seat. Which was incredible!! the front seat line, and the ride. :D

Then you defiantly got lucky as that was one of the few days they opened with ert. You luck sob!;)
Yep it really felt like a dream, I was like this is never open for ERT, and we were among the first to ride it that day. We might have been on the 12 train of the day maybe.

^^The key is we WANT rollbacks to happen. Rollbacks are to Dragster as prey is to a preditor......or something.:)
^Heck I might have been there that same day cause I've been witness to it a few (and I mean few) times and have gotten on the first train out. Its such a wonderful feeling going 120mph in 3.7 seconds in the morning.:)

The chances of arms being raised causing a rollback are insanely tiny. I remember hearing about a group of British enthusiasts who came for ERT one cold night and they all wore windbreakers and stuck their arms out. Apparently they got a lot of rollbacks, but considering it was cold and windy, I'm sure that had a lot more to do with it.
And rollbacks are hardly a "problem" anymore. Anyone who has spent more than one day in the park in the middle of the summer the last couple years will tell you they rarely ever happen anymore. It's going to happen when it's cold or overly windy (typically only in May and October), but when it's warm, it basically never happens anymore. The days of 5 straight rollbacks are long gone. You would be hard-pressed to get 5 rollbacks in an entire month during the summer now.
Just passing this on; last season in line for TTD, on the day the "balancing act" took place, the man in front of us described the single-best coaster experience he ever had, and it took place on TTD.
He explained that it was a rather foggy morning, and he had snagged a front-row seat, and the fog was lying at just the right altitude so that at the crest of the tophat the train broke through the fog revealing a clear-blue sun-lit sky, only to plummet back into the fog moments later.
Within 10 more minutes, the fog had cleared, and the magic was lost...
How does that sound!!&?
Promoter of fog.

I've seen a few days like that where you couldn't even see the top of Dragster from directly underneath it because the fog was so thick in the morning. It's always a great photo opportunity.
I got a bunch of great pictures from a really foggy night we had last May or June. Most of them are of Ripcord and Skyscraper, but I got a couple cool shots of Dragster (or at least the lower 1/4 of it) too.
Still disappointed that I never got to fly in that fog, although I don't remember why I didn't. I don't think we were very busy.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
