Hand Stamps

could some one please tell me what time hand stamps are handed out for Dragster. I have recieved a few at the begining of the year but they were handed out and different times of the day. Is there a pattern to when they are handed out or was i just drunk and didnt have a watch? Thanks!

Thanks alot!

I am going sunday so i will probably get in line around 1:30. I just hope it is running smoothly!

A roll back would be nice too.(I have not had one in my 20-plus rides)

What about the stamps for the ERT? I heard that if it isn't open, they hand out stamps for JC and Resort guests. I'm just wondering if I should even attempt to go to TTD in the morning or just go straight to MF. What I get out of it is you are almost assured a TTD ride (either ERT time, if open, or a stamp for later). I just want to know if what I hear is correct.

Thanks.

If I was you, I would ride Dragster in the morning. I have riden it 2 times this yar in the morning.
I am definately not a veteran poster here but we were there Memorial Day and got to ride Dragster 4 times that day. We had ERT since we stayed at Breakers and got in line right away. Stood in line 50 minutes and got back in line and it went down for repair so we decided to try again later. We got in line for a Freeway Pass at 1:50 and only waited in line for the pass about 15-20 minutes and got a time of 6-7. Got back in line at 5:00 and waited not quite an hour and then went in for our Freeway Pass and only waited 15-20 minutes. Then we got in line at 9:20 (park closed at 10:00) and only waited 45 minutes. The queue line said 1-1/2 hour wait but the ride op said "Shhhhhh...don't tell anyone!" Maybe they were trying to discourage people from getting in line right at the end of the night??? Anyway, if we had gotten done with our pizza 5 minutes earlier we could have hopped in line again right before closing and gotten in one more ride...maybe next year!
If the park doesn't have TTD open in the morning for JC & Resort Guests, they will give you a freeway stamp, thats how they did it opening weekend, but i havn't been over there for my JC time since 'cause I've been riding the best ride in the park for JC time.

Can't wait for 07 season!

everytime i go to the point and run to TTD in the morning its never open and my brother and i waited 4 hours and it never opened. CP did not give us a handstamp or any type of compensation. i dont know if we were just unluckey or they changed there policy. Also regarding the handstamps, my family and i got in line at 1:30 and the freeway line was backed up to the restrooms by magnum. we did get a stamp from 6-7 but didnt get to use it b/c that was the day the cable broke. so what i would do is get in the freeway stamp line at 1 and no later than 1:15 if you want to get an early stamp. but if you dont mind getting a later stamp i would get there no later than 1:35

^^i dont think thats bad;)

umm maybe it was just me but when i went to the point on July 7-9th last year they were charging almost $30.00 for 1 stamp. Remeber this was just after the big breakdown in June
Freeway has always been free. They have never charged for a stamp. You are mistaken.

Aww man you got hosed. :)

i think that the hand stamp thing is great but also i think cedar point should make the ticket machine were somone walks up and theres only a certin amount of time and thats what disney world does to prevent geting a stamp on your hand

come on who wants paint on there hand

As long as they don't use Disney's rules for the fastpass system, I'd be fine with that. But, the paint works because people can lose their tickets. Besides, after speaking with the person working Dragster's freeway booth, they only give out 100 stamps per hour. Is it worth putting a new technology into the park to accommodate such a small number? Besides, the paint isn't like the sludge they initially used. This stuff washes off with minimal scrubbing.
They won't use the disney system because they don't allocate that much ride capacity for freeway.

Somewhere there is a list telling you what percentage of capacity is for freeway. It's not worth it as joe said above to add all of that for a small percentage of guests.

Disney reserves a lot more space for fastpass alone. Disney is also dealing with children rides, and anyone here with a young child can feel me when I say I would rather wait 15 minutes with a ticket than a hour and a half to ride Peter Pan.

I'm happy with CP's Freeway system. Anything, paint included, is worth getting a shorter ride wait later in the day.

I'm very upset when it comes to the 2004 Cedar Point Freeway System. Unlike the years before, not all the coasters stamps start when the park opens, but like 11am and 2pm. And around like 1:45pm the line for TTD's stamp is pretty long. I talked to a park official about this situration and he said that the operation department was getting to many complaints about guest not haveing a fair shot on getting a stamp. I still liked them much better when they just gave them out in the morning....
I'm a GOES, so TTD isn't what I go for with a hand stamp. I usually go for Magnum or something. I really like being able to stand in line for 15 minutes rather than the 30 that Magnum sometime goes to. Hopefully, I'll lose enough weight to go on Raptor and other rides like that this year.

I don't have a problem with the system but two times I got a stamp for TTD and once for MF the person handing out the stamps showed up 20 minutes late. The worst service I've seen from Cedar Point by the way. When the sign says 2pm I expect 2pm not 20 minutes after.

Getting in line 20-30 minutes before 2pm you should be good. Just get some french fries or Dippin Dots and wait. You save lots of time.

When TTD goes down they let the people who had a stamp for that time come back whenever they want. I don't know if they did that last year but that's a good thing.

Mid May I used my freeway stamp and waited 15 minutes for a ride. 10 days later I waited 1 hour for a ride. The capacity for the ride was so low they should of just closed the ride and fix it.

The system for Freeway works well for CP but I think they should place boards throughout the park showing the wait times for the various rides. That would save a lot of time walking all the way to the center of the park from the main gate to find TTD has a four hour wait.

Last year they didn't have it for TTD.
I always appreciate it when it is down for JC early entry and they give stamps out from 1-2pm.
