^depends on what you definition of scary is pjp. If reduced lighting, lots of fog and people in great makeup/costume jumping out at you or making a loud noise is scary for you then yes. Also be ready, screamsters like to target girls (they react more.) Finally yes the Fright Zone is between MF and Maverick.
Sounds like it would be an awful lot of fun for you to take your sister through one of the fright zones.... one of my favorite halloweekends memories is taking my wife, who hates clowns, through CarnEvil. Shortly after entering one of the screamsters picked up on that, and followed us the rest of the way through saying "What's the matter, don't you like clowns?" to a terrified Jen.
Hilarious.
I don't mean to be a bother but this is already started so here it goes...
Last year I made it to halloweekends with some friends and it was incredibly busy. Yet the next weekend my mom told her is was pretty much dead.
So my question is... is there a better weekend to go then any others? we're going again this year since we love the park [and halloweekends is such a great time there] but dont want to wait more than an hour and a half for mean streak like last year. [crazy idea. i know. but we were desperate]
thanks!

The weather will do it in October. If a weekend is rainy and cold, it'll be dead. If we get a late warm weekend, it'll be busier than a July Saturday. If its the weekend AFTER a cold and rainy weekend, there is, seemingly, a boost in attendance, especially if it doesn't rain (even though it might be in the 50's).

Because the next day is Columbus day, a Federal Holiday (banks and PO's are closed along with some schools).
That is probably one good example of Cedar Point trying to draw more crowds by extending the hours, rather than the hours being extended because the crowds are there (although I don't have the attendance figures from before the extension).

October is by far my favorite time to go to Cedar Point. It can get a little cold sometimes, but most of the time I'm comfortable in a sweatshirt or hoody. Last year in mid-October, it got down about 50 degrees at night. The only time I was actually really cold, was up on the platform of Raptor. Those winds coming through there were COLD!

Pjp, you really need to read this: http://www.pointbuzz.com/faq3.htm. But that said, it is a combination of weather, the day (Saturday is nearly always going to be the most crowded,) the phase of the moon, how close the aliens from galaxy x are to earth, etc, etc...
But seriously, read that faq and realize that on top of this, this is the very first time Halloweekends is beginning that week so this time we really have no clue. *** Edited 8/24/2007 4:42:03 AM UTC by Touchdown***
