Wait.... 2008 SP can be given out this season? I bought mine online last week and now I am wondering if they can be processed when I go this friday so I dont have to wait till next year.

Can they?

eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!

Ride on, MrScott!

There is a pretty good deal on platinum passes for 08 right now. All you can do is pay up and get the passes next year. FYI, I hear there will be no pictures on the 08 passes, your picture will come up on a screen at the entrance gate when the pass is scanned. I''m not real sure how this is going to work

Ok. No jacket till next year! :(

But you have to reserve a pass aka get a voucher by November 11 in order to get a jacket.

For the most part they are not to scary. The more intense attractions are well marked and easy to avoid if you wish.

There are plenty of choices for those who don't want to be scared. The Tim Hill and Chris Linn magic shows are great for everybody. Boo Hill is great for the small kids.

The Poe trilogy is just super for those a little older. My 9 year old loves them. We've seen them all numerous times.

I forgot to add this to my previous post.

While looking at the Coliseum yesterday, especially upstairs at the ballroom, I thought it would be a good spot for a haunted house. The ballroom is hardly ever used anymore. It could be a haunted ballroom or some other theme. The three haunted houses they have now have been around for a while. It might be time for a new addition to the lineup. I would imagine protecting the floor would be an issue. I think that could be done though.

The biggest problem with using the ballroom for a haunted house is access, there is no elevator and you have to climb stairs to get in. And with the ADA it has to be wheelchair accessible.
But at the same time I would LOVE to be let loose in the ballroom to design a haunted house, oh the ideas they are flowing already.

I thought about the ADA requirements also. Do the other haunted houses and Werewolf Canyon meet the requirements? I never noticed if there is special wheelchair access to those. That doesn't mean there isn't. Just by having gone through them it would seem very difficult for a wheelchair to negotiate those tight winding pathways. Boo Hill has a section of floor made of spongy mats. I don't think that would be easy to ride a wheelchair on.

ADA doesn't require that all theme park attractions be accessible by all. That's not what ADA is about. It's about providing reasonable access to your facility. The coasters aren't accessible by all. Most rides for that matter aren't. So, if CP has three of the four haunted attractions accessible, that is plenty according to ADA. That doesn't mean someone won't try to sue them for it, but legally they're not bound to provide that.
