Halloweekends Soundtrack?

Steve-O's avatar

I have a question about one of the song tracks that are played at Halloweekends once it becomes dark. I am really sorry if this is vague, but there's this one song they play that has a very eerie sounding piano to it. It's very fast paced and has a lower pitch to it(I am not talking about the Halloween theme song, that one has a higher pitch compared to the one I am thinking of). Once again I apologize if this is vague, but hopefully one of you will know what I'm talking about. I've always found the song to really set the mood and I love it, but I can't find it. Feel free to add any other questions about the various soundtracks you hear at the park during Halloweekends, but don't know the name of it. Thanks in advance!

I can't identify it based on your description. They play a lot of music by Midnight Syndicate and a few by Kevin Mackleod. I would start by skimming through some of their songs to see if you recognize it.

Yeah, the vagueness is going to make it hard to determine. Details man, details lol. Hum the beat, length of the track, other instruments. Describe parts, get a recording, something haha

Steve, I have the feeling that you might be talking about this:

Ah crap good idea, didn't even think of that one being honest.

I'm still happy to hear Vertigo Suite in the park. One of my favorite simple Halloween tracks.

Unfortunately it's not that, but it's one of my favorites! I can try to be a bit more specific but it's going to sound weird. As I said it cleary sounds like a piano being played with no lyrics or anything. It dododododoDoDoDoDoDodododododo (capitals symbolizing a slightly higher pitch) slightly changing pitch up and down as the pianist progresses.

Evening Fall (Piano) by Kevin Mcleod sounds slightly similar to what I'm talking about, the difference is that it's faster and the pitches change faster.

I hope someone can help you find the song Steve-O, and I like your use of the dododo's. Just curious how one would use letters in describing that part of Edgar Winter Frankenstein towards the end of the song. Perhaps &*%$@@*(*^#$##&^*&($^%$.

Look up Midnight Syndicate. They have quite a few songs played at cedar point during Halloweekends.

I wish I could start your search somewhere, so, perhaps the "Halloween music collection" CD has sample tracks somewhere.

I believe I found it! It's Born of the Night by Midnight Syndicate. Thank you guys so much for helping me find it, it's one of the best songs imo that they play during Halloweekends.

Glad I could help. That's one of my favorite tracks by them. Between labor day and Halloween my car stereo is set to play Midnight Syndicate, Nox Arcana, and Buzzworks.

I wish Midnight Syndicate would come back to the park and do performances during Halloweekends.

^Right, I was a big fan of Skeleton Crew for awhile at CP. Midnight Syndicate came in and just took a dump on that show.

If you liked the piano work in that album, take a look at The 13th Hour. That album has a ton of good piano pieces. Also, if you have a surround sound system, turn on and set it to 7 channel...their soundscape tracks are actually pretty damn good.

Man, that brings back some memories. It's been a few years since I've made it to Halloweekends, but it was always so eerie walking down the midways after dark with that playing.

Hearing the music also brings back memories for me as well. Memories of doing Open - Closing while being cold, haha. One of the songs that I liked was the "X - Files Theme Song."

Reminds me of the Goosebumps theme

I tried finding a song used in the Skeleton Crew show but to no avail :( CP uses a lot of great songs for the Halloweekends events

I have a few Skeleton Crew songs and I recorded the whole show on video one year (I think 2014), do you know what it was/what act/what it sounded like?

It was during the balancing act this year... where the guy put more and more stuff under him. I think I have a snapchat video... Ill try and see if I can upload. It was a very upbeat but repetitive song..

Ah, I may have it, depending on if it's the same as the Skeleton Crew from KI. See if you can get a clip, I can't remember that music off the top of my head, but I believe the music for that was actually used in Cirque Imagine at KI as well, and I have that whole playlist minus one track still.
