Halloweekends Parade

So I was on Space Spiral taking photos of the park. Just snapping away as many as I could, before the ride was over. This was the Day of Coastermania and it was not till just a few days ago that I actually sat down to look at the photos that I took. It came to my attention that my aerial shots of Disaster Transport that I noticed some Parade Float looking things. I forgot that there was supposed to be a new Parade this year, so Josh M. reminded me when I asked about them.

Take a sneak peak of the vehicles!

I'm very interested to see how this is going to work out. None of the midways at the park seem wide enough to handle both the parade and spectators on both sides.

Cedar Point rocks my socks.

Why would this be tough? Havent you ever seen a parade at Disney? No one walks on the midway during a parade.

Plus I am sure where the would put floats on the midway they would give people a chance to go around..

Even though I've heard very few details about the parade, I'm really interested to see how it turns out.

Back in the 60's, CP had a long parade of marching bands every opening day. There was plenty of room on the midway for that, so I don't see the new parade as being a poblem.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

ok...i get on here and read posts and have never had any desire to post anything..i just enjoyed reading the posts, but now i have to respond. those floats were used at kings island 2 years ago for winterfest. it was a great experience and the parade they did was really cute and kids really enjoyed it. Kings Island had plans to redesign them into halloween floats and have a parade down international street...apparantley cedar fair thought cedar point should have that idea instead...cedar point has so many things already i just dont understand why they had to take this from a park that they claim to love so much. i dont see why they couldnt run it one year at kings island as planned to see how it worked and if it recieved complaints from guests then i could see them moving it up north to there sister park. why is it that cedar point has to have all the fame and glory? how about giving some fame and glory to the parks they have bought and claim to love so much?

Who's going to complain about a parade?

This should be cool. I wonder what the schedule will be.

^I suspect it will be around dusk, probably 7:00 or so.

Let's Get Weird.

Sorry to be obtuse hear, but I had no idea a parade was in the works. Is this a Halloweekend one?

Yes. I belive it is suposed to run from the back of the park toward the front. I'm not sure where it would end. I would guess It'll run down the Gemini Midway to avoid the Frontier Trail Fright Zone traffic.

I'd say Disaster Transport - just past Gemini, in terms of parade route. I think there's storage areas at both ends.
