I saw on the most recent Tony & Tyler posting that they're planning to have a new "Halloweekends parade" this year. Interesting.... I wonder if it will be a Disney-style parade, or a more traditional Halloween parade where the little kids come in costume and walk through the park?
From what I know, it sounds like it will be pretty cool. It will definitely be family friendly.

Arn't they using the old Kings Island Winterfest Floats for this?

^I doubt it. Seems like a huge pain to bring those floats across the state when you can build them relatively easily. Though I've been wrong before...

There were pictures of the new floats in the Soak City parking lot when the Maverick trains were sitting there. I think Jason Hammond had them from his tour.
They are the old King's Island floats, although heavily modified I'm sure.

There's an additional 2-3 floats that were spotted along with these ones, behind Disaster Transport awhile back as well.
This sounds exciting! I love parades. Now I am really looking forward to coming to Halloweekends. (I have to admit, I was getting kind of bored of it because it had been the same year after year.)
Maybe if and when they return the floats to KI we can have our X-Flight back? <Wishful thinking...>
The Halloweekends website was just launched and states that the Monster Midway Invasion Parade will begin at 4:00 on Saturday and Sunday on the Main Midway.

You could have it still family friendly. Just look at Disney during Halloween, they have some stuff that is spooky but not over the top.
What i think would work even better, is having the parade start at the Good Time Theater, have all the Screamsters come out in their makeup and have it wind over to Fear Fair drop off those Screamsters, then over to Carnevil, then around to Zone. All the while having a float or two, and the street monsters, all with some music thrown in.
Thinking about this a little more, this would be a great 2nd parade, because then it is a little more spooky (still family friendly) it is closer to dark and it gets the Screamsters to their posts with a bit of flair.
Of course I am sure I could come up with even more ideas, I still have the idea to place a house in the middle of Carnevil and make it a haunted circus!

^ A version of that happens every night around 7:40-7:45, but it only lasts from the marina entrance to the Dodgem building. :)

I liked it the best last year on closing weekend when I was walking on the midway and the train went by full of Screamsters. That's not something you see every day. :)
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
