HalloWeekends on Friday Pt2

tragicking

I think my original post was mis-interpreted, hence why it was locked.

My question was/is...how are Fridays overall for HalloWeekends. With the shorter operating hours/lack of rides, do any of you feel it's worth the $25 admission price, or am I better off waiting next week to go on Saturday or Sunday? And with the lack of rides on Friday, do the lines for the rides/haunted houses *generally* become long? With the shorter operating hours and crowds on an average Friday, does anybody feel like there isn't enough time to ride everything at least once? If I get there at 6:00, are there generally long lines to even buy tickets..and Lastly, has anybody ever gone on a Friday when the crowds were large?

I realize nobody can answer the crowd question, however, I'd like some input based on past experiences so I can better judge it. I tried reading through some old posts in the trip report section and in old posts on Halloweekends, but none of them seemed too clear on the issue or the questions i had. I'm thinking of going today on rather an impulse trip, but I'd rather know ahead of time what other "expert" opinions people on here may have before I go there and might possibly be dissapointed (or I could rightfully have an awesome time). Thanks.

Ummmmm, let me paraphrase.....his question was much clearer in the previous thread.

"How are the crowds on Fridays during HalloWeekends?"

LOL!

Walt closed it because the same principles apply. Short hours, smaller crowd. Good weather, bigger crowd, bad weather, smaller crowd. The same rules apply.

My daughter and I like going to Friday fright night BECAUSE of the smaller crowds. We don't live that far from CP and have a season pass so we don't have to worry about buying tickets. Of course, we miss our favorite magical entertainer, AARON RADATZ, but Tim Hill is okay. R&B

I think that pretty much any day at cedar point depends mainly on the weather. Prediction of showers always cuts crowds, and low temps cut crowds from what I have seen.

I went on a friday night a couple weeks ago, and the weather was around 65 all night so there were more people than I would have liked. MF wait seemed to be about an hour every time I checked, TTD wait started off around 30-40 min, but at the end of the night I waited 10-15 min. Raptor was a walk-on after 9ish (never ride that during the first few hours CP is open, no matter what day it is, everyone heads to that as they walk in). Magnum was a walk-on the entire night. But lines always die down towards the end of the night.

Hope this helps:) If you're debating whether or not to go, just go. You'll have fun no matter what.

Congratulations on getting your question answered. ;) I tried the same thing a couple of months ago before we made the trip from Atlanta on Labor Day, but my post was deleted. :| Trust me, I know what it is like to want to get some input from people before you commit to a trip.

On a happy note, we made the trip anyway, and had a great time. Oh, and for the record, we came up 2 weeks ago on Friday and it was not bad. Still a pretty long wait for TTD and MF, but it was fun anyway. Sundays are definitely the best bet IMHO.

We Love You Dragster! :)
