Halloweekends First Friday

At the park for preview. Hexed is cool, especially the first room and a specific illusion prop (not spoiling much.) Two issues-

-Mean Streak is closed for unknown reasons. It should be running on Fridays. Weather? Nobody out at entrance.

-Maverick is closed for a light drizzle. Come on, I'm guessing that Intamin made it to run in a little rain. CP has overreacted since the Magnum collision. Maverick derives most of it's stopping from magnetic brakes, only using slippery friction brakes and tires for final stops.

I was there tonight also. If it wouldn't have rained, the night would have been perfect! Weather wasn't too chilly and the park was nowhere near as busy as I thought it would be. I got in around 5:55pm and headed straight for MF. We waited no more than 15 minutes for the front seat! Also had a short wait for Maverick, Raptor, WT and Magnum. I didn't want to wait for any of the haunted attractions but I did very much enjoy all the Halloween decor! Wouldn't expect anything less from CP. :)

I will say, however, that I really wish Gemini was in operation for Friday nights! It is one of my favorites and Friday nights are the only time I can go in the fall. Very disappointed to see that it wasn't "important enough" to be open for us Friday-night visitors!

I wasn't lucky enough to get there early. Got into Detroit Metro late and didn't make it to the park until almost 9. Ended up waiting for dragster and got a rollback. Not much else was running so I gave up for the night. Will be back on Sunday

One train from a ride on Dragster when they shut it down. Got Blue Streak in at 9pm and then called it an evening.

I feel like nobody STILL realizes that staffing is very hard to find for Halloweekends

this first Friday was the best day I've had of the season i got on Maverick 11 times in 30 minutes i mean that doesn't happen every day

If staffing is so hard, perhaps they should pay more.

I know that staffing is hard to find, but don't they have an idea of whether or not they can run Mean Streak after hiring their employees for Halloweekends? Or are they expecting more people to apply after Halloweekends has started?

On another note, could they be removing Mean Streak from the list of Friday attractions soon? I guess it is the first to close out of all the Friday attractions.
