Halloweekends

any of you who that went to CP on Saturday... How was the first halloweekend of the year? Busy, good haunted houses???

I'm getting to wonder if I will even be there this year for Halloweekends....it's been either cold or rainy each weekend for awhile now.
Despite some of the weather we had, Saturday was great. I think the decorations for this year are much better than last. Walking down Frontier Trail and night with the fog is great, and I noticed many things I hadn't saw last year.

It was pretty cool when the electricity went out. I was talking to Jo at the Raptor entrance and the entire front half of the park went completely dead, I thought it was very cool. After the rides were reset, everything was cool.

It was probably a little busier than I had anticipated, but nothing outlandish.

You really should check out HalloWeekends, which I believe is the best time to be at the park.

Also, I didn't get a chance to check out the Pharoah's Tomb haunted house, anybody get a take on that?

Saturday's Halloweekend was awesome. I didn't go to any of the haunted houses, but I'll explain some awesomeness in a TR I will make shortly.

I think the rain scared some people away on Saturday. Too bad, as it wasn't that bad of a day. Judging by the parking lot and various queues, I thought the crowd size was a little below average.

Friday night was great. Saturday actually seemed CROWDED to me, in comparison, after having been spoiled by Friday night and MM :)

Crowds were definitely pretty light both days, though. We had to get back to Pittsburgh on Saturday night, so we left the park around 5:30 and missed the storms (which basically followed us all the way home)

Magnum-Just Ride It!!!
I saw you Greg, I think (were you wearing a NJ Devils shirt?). The lines were hard to tell because of the weird crowds and weird weather.

Today (Sunday) was dead. Walk ons for everything, except for MF which was about 15 min (at the most).
I have heard several people comment that they thought the decorations were much better this year. Glad people like them.. just wondering what decorations people liked the most?? Many of them are done by the full time managers.. a large portion is done by J. Taylor in Planning and Design.. a very creative person! As for Pharoah's secret.. Went through it tonight.. I thought it was very very good. Highly recommend it. Erie Manor is good ( Scary if you don't like clowns), but haven't been through Toxic Tunnel yet.
The Trail at night was abandonned, had fog machines everywhere including real fog from the strange weather conditions. It was awesome. I really like bus props on the main midway.

Yup, I was wearing a NJ Devils shirt one of those days (forget which now ;) )

On Friday night the crowds were VERY light. Our longest wait was ~15 minutes for the Force. Most other rides were virtually a walk-on.

Saturday was a mixed bag. The Force line looked like it was an hour once the park got going. Mean Streak was literally a walk-around for 4 laps (I say walk-around because the ops were making us get off, even when there was NOBODY in the station. We proceeded to watch them dispatch the EMPTY train. One op even said "Move it, people, this isn't Millennium Mania!" This is a pretty stupid policy, IMHO...) Most other rides had fairly short waits.

Hey Matt.. you busted me :) The park was soooo clean that I was able to check out other areas of the park. Hey.. I have to be able to answer guests questions about all things right ???? So, it was work... but I suffered through it.
Anything special for MF?
