Well, Halloweekends is just around the corner and while it's a sign of the end of season, it is also a lot of fun. Yes, they aren't the scariest haunted houses, but they have character and help round out, with the help of the normalaties of the park, a quality trip to the point. Just curious what are everyone's favorite shows/hauntedhouses/experiences.. etc of halloweekends?
The decorations, music, and the fog machines throughout the park all provide a great atmosphere, but the Fright Zone still takes the cake! I also wonder why some years they don't put all of the props that we've seen in years past out.
Alright... I need to know about Friday Fright Nights. Are they worth it? Come in at 6:00 and stay till midnight sounds like a fun idea for a substantially lower price than Saturday or Sunday (well it doesn't matter for me as a passholder, but for my friends).
Just for clarification, are all the haunted places open?
I know it wont be busy, but with the limited ride availability, are the lines relatively the same as any other day?
How does Friday compare to Saturday? I like the 12 to midnight on Saturdays, but I've heard it gets pretty crazy on Halloweekend Saturdays. The last and only time I was there for Halloweekends was on a Saturday in 2000 and it wasn't very busy, but I'm pretty sure the event has become more popular.
Hail to the Victors
Columbus Day at Cedar Point last year my friend and i got on every single roller coaster and every single haunted attraction
ramboozle a nice warm, sunny saturday will bring quite the crowd. Friday's are worth it and bring short lines to many coasters. Not sure what aspect you're looking for, coasters or haunted attractions. You definately have to pick and chose what you want to do, but you can gain some feedback on which haunted houses to hit and miss.
Friday nights are a spectacular deal. If you get the 2 for 1 admission coupons they put on the website every year, you can get in for like $13 apiece. We're going to do the package deal at Breakers express for the first time this year... 4 friday night tickets, 2 saturday tickets, 1 parking voucher, and 2 nights at the hotel for about $200. That's a deal....
Oh - and yes - the Fright Zone is definately the best Halloweekends attraction....
Usually whenever the main CP site rolls over to the Halloweekends main page... there's a 2 for 1 friday night and $10 off Saturday coupon you can print out from their site.
Why don't they have the shows and stuff on Sundays?
Favorite Coasters 1.MF 2. TTD 3. Raptor 4. Gemini 5. Magnum
Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.
They have shows, they just don't have the outdoor fright zones because the park closes at 8, and it really isn't quite dark enough until then.

Fright Zone definately owns every other haunted attraction in the park, but I may be a little bit biased. :)
Friday nights all haunted attractions are open, but on Sundays (except for the Sunday with expanded hours) the park closes before it's dark enough for the outdoor attractions. If they offer the 2 for 1 coupon on Friday nights again, it is a pretty amazing deal.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Monsters Rock Eternal Jamnation has already started in the Red Garter. It is a good show, as usual, and has totally new opening and closing numbers. No more "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Saturday Night..." this year. The music is good, loud Rock with a few ballads. The one sung by the girls is the same one as the last few years but the guys have a brand new one. It is way different from the Bon Jovi song from before and they do one heck of a job with it. The cast is really talented and so is the band. Most of the costumes are good but there are one or two I have not quite figured out yet. I suggest you take a 1/2 hour of your visit and check it out.
Question does Disaster Transport close for the haunted house thats inside it?

Nope. The queue entrance is re-routed about 50 feet to the right, through a gate in the fence. The normal entrance is used for Pharaoh's Revenge

Sweetness. I really like Guns 'N Roses, especially Welcome to the Jungle, but I'm sure I'll forget all about it once the show starts. The Evanescence song is a good choice for a spooky kind of feel, especially for the girls. I can't wait to see Eternal Jamnation.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Halloweekends are my favorite time of the year to visit (I'm making two weekend trips this year). Combining my favorite holiday and favorite place in the world is awesome. My favorite thing about it is Fright Zone. I also make sure to watch the Monsters Rock show every year.
Does anyone else really like CarnEvil, I'm the only person in my group who ever seems to want through it. I know its short, but I still think its fun.
