halloweekend music

what are the names of the songs played during halloweekend? there is this one song that me and my friend like and we call it "the end of the world" cause its a choir and it sounds like music being played during the end of the world..and is there a site that has this music? thanks
I am the resident Music Major coaster enthusiast who knows the classical music!!! Haha I'm good for something. The "End of the World" song that you are thinking of is called "O Fortuna" and it is from Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana." I'm not sure of any sites that have recordings of this piece, but I would check with MP3.com in the classical section, they might be your best bet for a high quality recording.

.. on a side note.. the version that is playing in the park is sung by the Russian Red Army choir...

I was sadly disapointed not to hear any of Midnight Syndicate's http://www.midnightsyndicate.com music being played during Halloweekends. I believe they've used their music in the past, but I did not hear any of it this year. For all you out there that are into gothic/horror/fantasy type instrumental music, these guys really know how to do it right! I had the pleasure of meeting the guys from MS over the weekend at their CD release party at the Phantasy Night Club in Lakewood. Very cool guys that are really dedicated to their craft and their fans. I would highly recommend picking up one of their CD's for the upcoming Halloween season. You won't be disapointed!

I second that TPolansky!! Our haunted house uses MS music solely and not hearing it this year at CP really dissapoints me.

Midnight Syndicates blend of haunt tracks are by far the best in the business!! Shame on you CP!!

Born of the Night is still the best TPolansky! Didn't care as much for Vampyre...

Ya got to meet ed douglas eh? Nice guy!

For the record, Rhapsody (aka listen.com) has four versions, but not the Red Army one.

It's not war, famine, or pestilence; it's only downtime.

What's the music that's played in Pharoh's secret's queue?

Yeah, Ed was real easy to talk to and quite humble and appreciative of all the fans. I agree, Vampyre was so-so. I think Born of the Night is probably my favorite too, though Gates of Delerium does have it's creepy moments as well.

The new Dungeons and Dragons CD by MS, which was officially licensed by Wizards of the Coast, is a positive step in a new direction for the two composers. Not as creepy as the other disks but still full of surprises.

Side note....All you Baldur's Gate Fans out there, you'll be seeing some of MS's music in the upcoming Baulder's Gate: Dark Alliance II video game plus a couple other RPG games coming out in the near future for PS2 and X-BOX!

MS did come out with a new CD this year??? Awesome.. need to go get it... We have used them in the past, but they just got overlooked this year in a rush to get a few other projects done. They are fantastic.. 'Gates' is one of my favorite CD's.

Yea I heard the Adams Family tune a few times last weekend while I was there. "O Fortuna" was also used in a great early 80s movie about King Arthur, Excalibur. Very powerful song.

There is one song however I can't place; it sounds like something from a Steven King movie, very quiet yet still disturbing. I dunno. ;)

O Fortuna was also used in "Young Sherlock Holmes. That is where I remember it most.
