halfpipe coaster?

I went to intamin.com, and saw a thing about a new halfpipe coaster they're making. Does anyone know what this is, and if this could be what CP is getting

Its possible thats what CP is getting, although i doubt it because of the type of launch sections of track at the park already. If im not mistaken, the halfpipe coaster uses LIMs not hydrolics. In a halfpipe coaster There are two cars per train each on horizontal freespinning axis, and the train goes back and forth up vertical track using LIMs to power them, sort of like an impulse coasters path, but a much different style of train and track. also, halfpipes are not suspended.

I, for one, am glad that we can rule out this type of coaster. This one just isn't going to happen.

the half pipe coaster has two cars per train (as was previously stated) and each train has two rows of seats four across that are positioned back to back. The track is U shaped, and the cars can spin.

This ride is going to Särkänniemi Amusement Park in Finland, so fortunately CP most likely won't be getting one.

There is not a Intamin.com! I just tried going there to check out the Halfpipe concept for fun. The domain does not exist. Please tell me where you really got this info from.

Michael,

Go here: http://www.webautor.ch/intamin/i_news.asp

Their official site is www.intaminworldwide.com but that is where their news page and the halfpipe info is.
