GWR Mightest Structures

Has anybody looked at the new Guinnes Book of World Records 2004. TTD made at the bottom of the World's mightest structures. I found this neat to find a roller coaster ranked with the great pyramids and sky scrapers.

yea, CP has taken the lead on GBWR2004 for amusement parks... it's got 2 records, and I'm sure it'll break some the 2004 season (most people seated at 1 time, most people in 1 year, most people in 1 day...)

------------------
---------------------------------------
TTD 2003: 32
TTD 2004: 0
TTD Total: 32
Rollbacks: 0

...most people in one hour, best capacity, most people on one midway (Wildcat midway/Frontier trail, Oct 11, 2003), longest wait for a 15-second ride...

CP has tons of records. They just break their own :)

Where would we be without CP?:)

I thought they might have more about roller coasters in this years edition but they didn't. Previous years there were a lot more.

MF, quick question (since I dont have GWR), were you joking about most people on a midway Oct 11, 2003.

I was there that night and my god, the place was packed. Thankfully we only waited 2 hours for TTD.

Yes, I was joking. When I read this topic, I thought of that day, so I had to say that. I only rode, like, three rides that day!

We also got 3 rides that day, and what a day it was! We drove from Boston for the weekend, hoping to get our first ride given all the problems, and experience Halloweekends (an annual event for us). I have never seen Frontier Trail so crowded. Walking down the trail was so slow getting scared was next to impossible. Fortunatly, later in the night they made it one way (great idea). Due to the crowds we blew off the Halloweekend events and shows (a first for us), and focused on MF (8 rides) and TTD (5 rides), throughout the entire weekend.

On that Saturday, we got an 11PM freeway stamp on MF, got off at 11:45, and ran to TTD only to find it was down. We sat on the midway, the employees allowed us to stay there even after midnight, and were told that if the ride opened we would get one last ride. Testing started at 12:30, the line opened up at 12:45, and at 1:30 AM we got off one of the best rides of our lives. (This is why CP has such a devoted following). Four members of our party had never heard of CP, and now can not wait to return in May and October.
