G's of coasters at Cp

Does anyone know where I can find all the G's of all or sum of the coasters at CP? Im doen a project on G forces for school and i wud like to make a graph of all the coasters and their G's. Thanks

By "doen" do you mean "doing" or "doin'"? And what is "wud"? Would?

What about "sum"? Do you want the total or do you mean "some"?

Good luck on your 2nd grade school project.

Ouch! That was harsh (but truthful). I would just recommend just searching the Internet. There are alot of places that talk about this kind of thing, but I doubt you'll just find a list giving all the answers outright!

That DID come off harsher than it was meant. But, come on! At least try to spell correctly! If you don't have the skills, say so.

We all were in 2nd grade once.

As the G forces approch Cedar Points limit of 5 g's, the duration generally approachs 0.

As for finding peak figures of G-forces on the rides, good luck. Cedar Point has not released them to the public.

ok, im not in 2nd grade, its just a message board about cedar point, its not like im writin a letter to the president. I know how to spell. Would, Some, and Doing. Are u (YOU) happy now?

When you signed up here, you agreed to the Terms of Service (see the #1 rule reproduced below). This is a message board. It is not Instant Messenger. Reading chat shorthand is annoying. It doesn't take that much effort to communicate in English.

1. Spelling & Grammar usage: There's a difference between a typo (which we all make) and chat shorthand ("r ne of u lamerz?") People like to read real, spelled out words, with capitalization and punctuation. THERE IS NO NEED TO SHOUT, we can hear you just fine. Please utilize your shift and caps lock key properly. Respect for the English language is important, and that means chat shorthand is not welcome.

well does anyone agree one of the best negative "g" 's is the bunny hop, front seat, corkscrew
I like the last hop on MF. Going that fast is awesome!

as its been said CP hasn't relly released offcial ratings of any of the coasters.

take a trip over to www.rcdb.com and you will find lots of useful information. most the six flags parks have g-force ratings on their rides and such. good luck with your project.

"relly"? Just what is that, Calypso?

that would be a link to the rollercoaster database. a site full of information on rollercoasters all around the world. including height, speed, g-forces and so on.

not everyone knows about it so i thought i'd thought i would point it out, as it actually is somewhat helpful to the topic of this thread. unlike this post, soooo....

ttdboy11, you could also try contacting cedar point, to tell them about your project, and they might be more than happy to give you the information. maybe not, but its worth a shot.

thanks for the website. ive found a lot of info from it. I also found out that Dragster pulls 1.3 g's

What kind of g's are you looking at specifically? There are 3 common measurement's of the forces on a coaster that I can think of: vertical, lateral, and linear accelleration (as in TTD's launch force, not sure how to word it exactly). I'm not sure what exactly you're graphing, but if you're mixing these different types of forces together, you're table or whatever isn't going to be very accurate. While 2 g's might be a lot in terms of lateral movement, it isn't much at all when you're talking vertical forces.

I'm aware of the different types. This project is basically just on vertical and lateral. The project is accurate.

No coaster can exceed 5 g's sustained for more than a second, because after that second, you start to get tunnel vision, and you could black-out/pass-out.

And the best air-time is not on corkscrew or MF, it's on a different CP coaster. find which one and which seat, and tell me.

Hint: If it's almost closing time on a Sunday night, I am probably sitting in that seat... :)

I know, I know! :) It's the almighty 13 on Magnum. Gosh it needs to be spring already!

That air in the front of Corkscrew is exactly why I usually ride near the back. Those shoulder harnesses aren't the greatest for taller people.
