Greentree Inn Feedback Request

My wife and I have made reservations for September at the Greentree Inn. I would like some feedback about the place if anyone has ever stayed there. It looks like a cool place to stay when visiting the Point. Thank you to all who respond.

I only have positive things to say about staying "on point". I have stayed elsewhere (but never at Greentree), and while I had a good time...it just didn't compare to staying on point.

Please let us know how Greentree was...I have had both good and bad stays in Sandusky.

I stayed at Hotel Breakers in May. It was nice but too expensive for every night on my budget. It was worth it though. I wish I was richer.

Greentree is nice, but the rooms are a bit dated. Nice to have restautrant & bowling alley in the same building. As an aside, we stayed at Breakers Express last weekend, had a 20.00 off coupon, which they doubled. Total cost of room w/ 2 queens, non-smoking, with tax included, was $87.09. That's not bad for July in Sandusky.

The Alamo. The Maine. Pearl Harbor. The Trades.

Greentree is fine, and convenient. Don't skip out on the bill though. That property is owned by the mob and you may end up with cement blocks on your ankles looking up from the Sandusky Bay.
I stayed there a couple years ago. I wasn't happy with the rooms. In fact we had to ask for a different room because the first room, the bed was broken. The rooms need updating very badly.
Unless you are going labor day weekend (a busy weekend in Sandusky), I would seriously consider changing your reservation to Breakers Express which is just up the causeway. Rates generally drop after Labor Day, and you get ERT in the morning when staying at a CP resort.

There is also a Comfort Inn next to Greentree.

Yes, we stayed at the Greentree too, and the A/C didn't work right and the bed was extremely uncomfortable.

My sis stayed there once. She found it decent enough but nothing spectacular in either price or accomodations.

I'm annoyed that Johnny Angels went away.

I second what OldCPer said above about Breakers express..the ERT is worth it!

I like the Greentree. Have stayed there many times in the past with the most recent being last season. True, the rooms are a tad dated. I guess I have been lucky because nothing has ever been broken. I like Greentree because the group I go with likes to party a little. I find the bowling alley and I believe it was called Frickers last time I was there nice because we don't have to drive once we have hit the juice. The CP hotels seem to frown on any extended "adult" recreation late into the night (maybe I'm looking in the wrong place). Not to get off topic, but I did stay at the Kings Island Inn on a weekend once (I don't thinks it's owned by Kings Island) and that was one of the best times I had at any park/hotel trip. Tons of people allowed to sip some cold ones around either pool. They even sold six packs of beer in this little pizza place they had on the grounds. What a fun time.
I stayed at the Greentree about 6 weeks ago. As most people have said, It was decent. And dated

However, I stayed at the econo lodge about 4 weeks ago and found the rooms to be cleaner, mattresses to be nicer, and I just had a better feeling about my staying at the econo Lodge. It was cheaper too. Also, the econo lodge is directly across the street from Greentree so you can still enjoy the lounge, restaurant, and bowling alley.
