Nothing is stopping you from doing the same.
And no one is stopping you from flying drones over someone else's house.
That is the problem with morality. One person finds it "annoying and inconsiderate" (i.e. immoral?) to make a quick buck by re-selling something for a higher price and another person does not have an issue with it. Who is right?
Note that I am not agreeing with flying drones over people's houses, just pointing out that the drone flyers can make the same argument that you did in the case of reselling.

^Agreed, if they buy the item at the value anyone else has, and then sell it for more, that's just how it works. There are things such as appreciating assets. Now do I think it's lame for people to buy the stuff and same day flip it, oh of course, but that's not just specifically enthusiast items. I'm looking at you Nintendo Switch sellers..
You seem to contradict yourself here. Aren't the Switch sellers doing the same thing you said you seem to be OK with?

Don't see how that fact has any relevance to this scenario. Sure, myself or anyone could, but they (most people) don't.

Sure, if they wanted to make a poor comparison.
Me buying a Switch that you wanted does not require that I violate your private space.

A good chunk of my income comes from selling on eBay. But I don't sell freebies that are handed out in mass quantities. That's a douchey thing to do. Neither do I try to get the latest hot item and scalp it. Not only is that douchey and you're taking an item from someone who legitimately wanted one at regular price, but you probably have to wait outside a store all night to be able to get those hot items. I just get cheap stuff on clearance or from thrift stores and flip it.

They are, they have a right to do it, and I don't have a problem with it, they're just lame is all. It's different if the item is free, that's just straight up douchey.

How about the "I swiped the coasters from my room to sell on eBay" Disney folks?

See, I have no issue with anyone who buys stuff and resells it for profit. That's different than taking more than someone's fair share of free stuff and selling it for profit.
I am completely in agreement here. That's the way the market works. Though, I'm pretty against it when it comes to people using bots to buy up concert tickets and scalp them.
I got 2 shirts from the banshee first rider giveaway, but that was only because I got 2 rides on it, waiting in the line each time. That seems fair, no? I didn't sell it on eBay, i still use both as pajama shirts or lifting shirts.

Now the free stuff, that stuff needs to stop...period.
Or "one per person", no exception.
