Alright, I know this topic is like 16 years old, but I just didn't want to create a whole new topic when it already exists. Anyway though, anybody on here part of Great Ohio Coaster Club? Anybody thinking of joining?

I'm part of GOCC, Coaster Crew, and Coaster Buzz. If you really care about Pointbuzz, I would recommend joining Coaster Buzz. I think it is the best value, and I really like the ad-free website!

I've been a member of GOCC for probably 8 or 9 years now I think. It's a pretty great club to join as they have usually a couple good events each year and a cool christmas party. Being in OK I haven't been able to attend as much lately, but want to make an event in the fall in the near future.
I just joined this club yesterday. I like that they are a local club and do alot of activities. I might join Coaster Buzz one day, but GOCC suits my needs better at the moment.

GOCC has always been a class act with excellent leadership both in structure and the people filling the roles. The fact that they throw a wonderful holiday party is icing on the cake.
Scotty, are you still part of GOCC? I think I've been a member since 2012? Not sure, but in all 3 years, I've had a blast! I'm still contemplating going to Coaster Stock, but I'm doing the Coaster Camp-out, HolliWood Nights, and Coaster Mania! Brian, you're going to love GOCC!
I've been a member since the 2012 off season, and I'm still trying to decide if I want to renew for this year or not.
I vaguely remember meeting a pointbuzz member at GateKeeper media day, I want to say it was Shawn, but I'm not 100% sure.

Any particular reason why you're thinking about not renewing? Is it because with you working at the park this year, you wouldn't be able to attend the events, or did you just not participate that much in the past?

It probably was me. Did I come to you and Introduce myself? I do that at times. You should renew so you can maybe do Coaster Mania! :)
Whoever it was, I stopped them outside the gift shop after getting off the ride because I heard them talking about PB right before getting on the ride.
I most likely will be renewing by the end of May, but I have a feeling I won't be allowed to attend an event being an employee.

I'm looking forward to meeting you. Hopefully you can still attend Coaster Mania! Either way, I'll see you at Shoot the Rapids.
I am a member of GOCC, ACE, and ATRA (where I am the Executive Vice President of the Southern Region). GOCC has a really nice magazine, and is very affordable. It also has some amazing people in leadership or otherwise active in the club.
While I rarely attend club specific events, I think it is important to join a club that is a good fit for you. I have made some great friends through GOCC and specifically ATRA, and am making more through ACE (southeast region) now that I have moved to Alabama.
