Grab handles are gone again

While I’ve certainly ridden SV since the phone ban, I also believe I would’ve been more inclined to ride it more if I was able to just jump in line with my zippered pockets like I do on every other coaster rather than go through the whole locker chore and then wait in line in boredom.

To everyone who wouldn't ride SV without your phone--you made the line shorter for me. Thank you.

The park will necessarily do something eventually about the phone policy simply for the fact that it makes waiting for their newest and best ride undesirable for a significant portion of the public. As the last comment pointed out those who aren't riding are saving those who are the extra wait, but that's going to have to be a problem from Cedar Point's perspective: if people aren't waiting for the ride the ride isn't attracting visitors and the huge investment they made in the ride will quickly turn into a loss.

I'm not a big fan of the phone policy mainly because if someone I know comes to the park and wants to meet up with me and they try to text me to see where I'm at so they can meet up with me and if I'm stuck in Steel Vengeance's line without a phone, I can't get a hold of him. Also, everyone should have a phone in the event of an emergency. Also, I'm brand new to point buzz, but you can find me on KIcentral and YouTube.

Good news: WCO questions revealed that the handles are staying off, and more importantly, they’re trying pouches!

I enjoyed many of the news but of course the implementation of pouches was the best one. So excited to bring my phone in line again. Even more so don't have to leave it in car and go back and forth to retrieve ot go through the day without it.

I think Im in the minority here but I hate to see the grab handles go — they are the only way I can ride SV with out insane amounts of pain. I have a mild form of cerebral palsy (and no I don't use a disability passes / cut in line, I wait like everyone else) and the way SV's restraint / bar pins my legs, it keeps them in a tensed position. So for large portions of the ride, the bar is slamming into my upper thighs. The impact is so jarring that the first time I rode I was in tears, and the second time I actually had to go back to The Breakers, take some pain killers and lay-down. With the grab handles I can actually counter act some of the forces with my upper body, and actually enjoy the ride. But without there is no way I can justify riding, since that would be both masichistic and put me out of commission for the rest of the day. I really hope they return the handles or come up with a better solution.

So on the side of the restraint, there is 1 rubber type handle, have you tried using that?
