I put the pump in the pond for the waterfall in the beautiful 70 degree weather last week and now there are icicles hanging from the rocks.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

My mom and I (meaning me:)) just started digging a new pond in our back yard and have to stop because of the weather.

And does anyone else besides me think there's around an 80% chance of whoopa** in Tim's forcast?:)

^ I have to agree. Somebody is most definitely just asking for a hurricane this summer. ;)

We DID get a hurricane this past season - Chris. It went right over the island chain. The ironic thing is the weather during the storm was better than usual. LOL!! It didn't rain, there was no wind, and the sun was shining like normal. Everyone was like, "uh, wtf!". ha ha ha ha!!

I find it hard to get intimidated by a storm named "Chris". It just doesn't sound very threatening. It's like if you met the devil and found out his first name was really Bob or something.

Can't... help... myself,

must... comment on... Walt's post...

Detroit's casinos have done nothing for the city as far as i can see. Since the tax money from the gambling has gone into the general fund the state of Michigan has reduced their aid to the city the same amount. So the city has the added social and economic costs to attend to with a net zero gain in operating budget.

Poor Detroit (and its region) is in a world of hurt. As much as i think Michigan sucks, this isn't a good thing.

smoke 'em if you got 'em

^ And they want to bring the "joy" of Gambling to Cleveland. Hopefully it will keep failing.
