Golden Tickets Announced

Millie #1, Maggie #3, Raptor #12 steel.

Best Park/Capacity/Games Area (new category)

All the details here.

yay...millie beat maggie this year. Cedar point is #1 again, for 5 years in a row now.

I cant beleive cedar point got best capacity...i always thought Cp's lines were like the longest. SfGadv got really short lines most of the time.

It's not how long the lines are, it's how fast they move. I really thought though, after going to Great Adventure that they'd be up there in capacity. When I was there Nitro's line never stopped moving.

Anyways, congrats to Cedar Point for taking number 1 again and congrats to Holiday World for getting up there as well. It goes to show that you don't have to be a big corporate park with record holding rides to be one of the best.

News Flash CP Jigga - MF was voted #1 last year too and Magnum was #3. Raptor was #8 last year.

Unfortunately, I found that Nitro was the ONLY line at Great Adventure that moved well. The Medusa crew was very sad.

For the most part, ride prides and all, things were still running efficiently at CP this weekend. The only major exception was Millennium Force. I have a few bones to pick with that crew, but I think I'm going to just save it for a quick e-mail or letter to the park.

Where's SFWOA fit in to all of this? Just kidding...

Golden Ticket voters actually drove by SFWoA to vote for Cedar Point.

Capacity is also a measure of just how many rides the park can give in an hour. With the number of rides and uptime the park has, they give more rides than anyone. The longest line I've been in this year was Millennium Force at 45 minutes earlier this year. Last week my longest wait was 20 minutes on a busy day.

Look at the top 10 steel coasters. Really top 9 because Superman at SF Darien Lake is tied with Montu...They are all hypers, airtime machines! If that doesn't tell you something about the enthusiast community, I don't know what will! They're all airtime whores! :)

I know what you mean. I don't know what was up with the crew on Sunday. They were incredibly slow and they didn't attempt to pair single riders up. There were 3 single riders that were all directly behind eachother in the train I rode.

Yeah, you mention that, and then look at all the people complaining about CP needing loops. It doesn't seem that loops are making coasters the best.

SFNE Superman is STILL too low.

That's my only comment.

We can all have our opinions, but for 2002, MF takes the cake. Either way, I thought X would get more votes than it did.

X likely lost votes because it was only open for such a short time, then was "broked' for a while.

The closest I'll ever get to riding a B&M Flyer is looking down while on Raptor... :(
