I am creating a presentation for a class and can't remember how many years the park has won the "best park" award in a row and was wondering if anyone could help me out?
If I am not mistaken, Cedar Point is the only park to get the award from Amusement Today. The first year for the awards was 1998.
In 1995 "Inside Track" (an international publication for park fans) honored Cedar Point as the Best Park in the world. 1995 was the 4th time. I'm not sure if it was 4 consecutive years or not. Though I know they got it in 1994 as well. The publication was around at least as early as 1991.

That's pretty cool that you're doing a presentation on worthless awards. Are you also going to discuss the Daytime Emmys and "World's Greatest Grandpa?"
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
^ wow, uncalled for. I think he is doing a report on Cedar Point and wanted a reference for how many years it won the award.

I had to laugh at this.
Why exactly is a little bit of levity uncalled for? Lighten up.

Who's to say the awards are worthless? If you just call them 'marketing-related' awards they are pretty legitimate. CP advertises it's superlative qualities more than any park I know.

"Douchebaggery" and "levity" are not synonyms.
I did actually LOL reading that. :)
Apparently, had I approached Kyle at Kings Island dressed a seasonal employee, and told him my little joke, he would have loved it. I just went about it all wrong...

I'm not sure if anyone knows or not but I just found out the Golden Tickets Awards will be held on Saturday September 8th at Dollywood. Will Cedar Point take home 15th consecutive years or will they for once be beat by another park?
There's a chance the Washington Generals could pull this one off tonight, folks!

The ceremony will be in one of the parks many theaters and as far as I can tell, will be open to the public. Additionally, It will be streamed live here.

This just proves that cedar point really is the best park in the whole wide world. I am a very lucky man to live so close to it. Can't wait for the park to win again in 2013!!!
