Gold Pass Processing

I was on the CP site just now to buy Gold passes for the family, we took this year off after having passes for 10 years but wanted to go back for closing weekend.

Question: I see there is the option to capture or upload a photo and the dialogue box indicates you can skip pass processing lines by doing this. I don't have everyone here for pictures so I can't get to the screens that follow. Do they MAIL you your pass so that you can go straight into the park? Or do you still have to go to pass processing? I'm hoping to get right in next Friday for early entry and not have to monkey around with going to processing up at the front of the park (which in the past did not open until after early entry was over).

Last year our youngest got her Platinum for the first time, and I uploaded her school picture. What this allowed us to do was to get her pass at the resort gate. We were at Breakers, and it took all of about 45 seconds. If the pictures are uploaded, you just hand the voucher to the person, and they can produce the pass.

So yes, you still need to take the voucher to the park to get the pass (this has to be done in-park), but you don't need to go to the Season Pass Center if you already have your picture in there.

Whether or not you have your picture loaded has no bearing on where to process. You can just go to the gate now. If your picture is loaded, they'll just sync your card to your account and give it to you. If you don't have a picture loaded, they'll take your photo right there on the spot and give you your new Gold pass. But it's much faster for you (and everyone else behind you in line) if you load your pictures before arriving. :)

Just to be clear, when we say "gate" we are talking about where they scan your pass and let you into the park, not the little window on the side where they sell tickets, right?

Correct. Just go to the admission gate where they scan your pass to enter, and they will process it right there.

I upgraded my three day resort admission to a Gold Pass a couple of weekends ago and it only took a couple of minutes to do it from scratch. The only holdup would be if there is a line at the ticket window.

I wish they'd mail it to you. I'm not able to get back to the park anymore this season (which from the reports I'm reading, is probably just as well :P ) and while it's not that big of a deal to just print out the paper and take it with me next year, it'd just save a step. Plus I'd be able to carry it around in my wallet all winter as a motivator.

Can you get your photo taken and get your pass when you check in to your cabin at Lighthouse Point? or is it only at a park entry gate?

Season passes are done at ticket booths only.
