Me too in line for Dragster now. Laughing with the girl who's scared of her first time.
If your scared say your scared.!
I too go by myself all the time. Most people I know aren't into it as much as i am, so I don't let that stop me from going. It's a good experience going alone for all the reasons mentioned!
Last week I was in line for TTD right behind a girl that kept talking about it being her first ride, scared to death, people told her not to ride it, couldn't believe she was riding....I asked her if anyone told her about rollbacks.

I have a boat in the Marina, so I can hop into the park for ERT. Wife and kids can't wake up the early so i do it alone. Also, I can sit on the boat watching the Milennium line, If it looks short I run in for a few quick rides. It easy to get the platform and find singles to jump on with. Surprisingly there is alot of front car riders that are solo and need a ride buddy.
Rode TTD twice last weekend in the front seat and once on Maverick.
Has anybody tried the "Friend Finder" function on the Cedar Point mobile app? Maybe we can have thread in the Meetup section of the forums. It gives you a new number every time you restart the app, but it might be neat to see who else is currently riding solo and willing to meet up.
They call me Sheehan.

Most people are thunderstruck when they see me reading a book as I progress through the lines, " why didn't I think of that?", I also wonder.
I've thought about going alone. I bought a ticket for myself with the Christmas in July deal but my wife wasn't up for it. I'm trying to get a friend to come but so far nobody is able to.
Last time I was there my wife and I were with another couple and we played Euchre in all the long lines. That was a blast! It's hard to imagine doing anything else to try and make that time pass.
I'm sure headphones and a podcast would help tremendously.
I've tried going to the park alone a couple times this year, but everytime I do, my one friend seems to want to come along. I also have this problem of telling people no. Fudge!
Quick observations on a couple of posts above. First, I find it hard to imagine that Shawn Meyer only has one friend. If he keeps telling them "no fudge" he will soon lose that friend. And Brendan, whenever I try to do whatever I want I am told "please stop climbing the silver handrails".
^ No I meant that as in I have several friends. Good Grief! One friend in particular likes to try to come every single visit, but I was wrong earlier. There have been 2 visits where he didn't come with me. Like I said, It's hard for me to say No to people. I have a problem with that.
I can tell you Shawn has more than one friend, including me. And I'm not that one annoying friend he's referring to even though I do go up with him alot. But I've met alot of cool other people through him, including some of you here.

I'm sorry, you are probably a great guy! I was being a smart @%&. My family and I will be there later today and if I see either of you I will say hello.
You're Cool Jimmy. Unfortunately, with my finances, I have to be careful with my spending. So that means I probably won't be there this weekend.
I know! I want to ride and take pictures of Rougarou! I'm addicted to that ride now!
