Gnats out in force

I was in the front seat on dragster on the 8/27 at night. When the train reached area 51, or just pasted the photo shot, me and my dad were just cover in tons of gnats. First I thought it was the water being kicked up by the cable put when we got of the ride, the tops of our shirt's were coverd in dead gnats. Some looked like road kill. I've had that happen before on MF and Mantis(on those, all the trains nose'es were just cover in them). I am asking if an of you have felt the gnats in force at night. (Some can be a little painful)

Last year, my brother and I rode on the green train (if my memory serves correctly) with me on the left and him on the right (facing the front). We both got a face full of bug protein that night. He said it felt like getting poked with toothpicks, which it did. I was wearing a white shirt, and they were all over it. I even washed it and it was still dirty. So yeah; it's not uncommon.

Maybe its time for them to start selling ponchos for the ride on TTD?
Luckily, by the time I go again, I shouldn't have to worry about any bugs.

That is one of the many reasons the front is the worst part to ride in.

The fronts not bad to ride in as long as its during the day because then there a re no bugs hovering around the light.

In early 2000 a couples days MF opened i rode it in the front seat and was covered with mayflys

I got hit in the face by a June bug or cicada when I was going over Millennium's 2nd banked turn. I had a big bruse the next day.

I bet that heart with the June bug.
