Quick question for anyone who can answer it for me:
How picky are the ride operators about how you secure your glasses while on Millenium Force?
Well, you have to have a glasses strap. That is somewhat strict. Or, you can always take them off. They sell MF straps before the queue entrance.
I was just wondering if you needed some kind of special strap.
Thanks for the info.
I used a neck cord with mine. Just to be on the safe side, I went ahead and tied a hitch into the string as I approached the track, but the person sitting next to me did not do the same with the cord on his sunglasses...but yes, he had a neck cord.
I noticed that several of the operators are bespectacled; given the amount of difficulty we did not have, I am guessing that these operators have ridden, and determined from experience that the loose neck cord is probably sufficient.
Bottom line is, secure your glasses with something. They seem to be fairly tolerant of whatever something you happen to choose.
(By the way, LLTID, you will be interested to hear the the Iron Dragon trains were all repainted. The drab green is now a gorgeous metallic finish, and the drip pans are a gloss black. The track is still faded red, but the trains are spectacular.)

Glad to hear that they're putting effort into such a beautiful ride. I can't wait to see it this weekend.
Thanks for the info RideMan.
I only wear my glasses on 3 rides. Mine Ride, Iron Dragon, and Disaster Transport. Is there any other rides i can wear them on that i don't know of?
You're allowed to wear them on all of the rides. Power Tower and Millenium Force require that they are secured during riding.
(Correct me if I'm wrong)
the first time i rhode i took them off,but the second time i left them on with a strap connected to them.i suggest that you not where them,
or buy a strap.you will need one.
I prefer to wear my sunglasses when riding. I have a pair of Oakley Eyejackets that fit EXTREMELY snug on my face. Will they make me take them off. I've never had them come off on anything before. I'm just curious.

UCSigep, just get a cord for 'em. The one I got retails for $1.25. It's worth the money for the aggravation it can save if it makes them happy. Be careful, though...when you get a cord, be sure to get one that doesn't prevent the glasses from fitting properly. This is why I went with a cord that attaches forward of the temples rather than on the ends.
Having ridden the ride, I continue to recommend eye protection for all riders, especially with mufflehead season right around the corner. The island portion of the ride, for instance, is very low trackage surrounded by white floodlights. Just perfect for attracting summertime bugs!

I was just going ot post that Dave. If you want to have your eyes open the whole time go with some sunglasses and a strap just a suggestion.
My husband wore his sunglasses, with no strap. I dont know if they noticed it or not, but there were a cheap pair of sunglasses and he had them on and never lost them. As soon as I get my scanner up, I can show the proof from the MF pic we bought.

The more you ride it, the more you want it!
